For those that observe the Thanksgiving Holiday we hope you have a nice and safe day.

For me I do not have family close and do not do anything special really, but oddly enough I did spend part of the day without power. I wonder how any neighbors feel about that if they had a turkey in the oven.

For you SA folks, it was like having load shedding without warning LOL.

Happy Thanksgiving to all

Rick, I'm sorry the conditions were less than ideal, and I hope you were still able to enjoy a nice dinner for yourself. Having lived through my fair share of power outages, I have learned that food keeps pretty well for hours if it is very cold or hot; the ones who might have had problems are those who were just starting to cook.

Thanks, luckily I was not in the middle of cooking a feast or anything or it would have been worse. I feel bad for those in the neighborhood who might have been cooking for their family.

Power down time was only a few hours so it could have been worse. It was likely just a transformer blowing as I recall the recording on the report line stated it was affecting only 50 families. Even if not completely accurate it must have been only a few blocks in the area.

Sounds like a good excuse to get out the smoker!
