Hard Work Does Pay Off

Just wanted to share my experience with anyone starting out as an affiliate or is getting frustrated with the business.

I have been doing this for about 5 years now and have always been semi successful with poker. I created a casino website but got frustrated a while back and really had let it sit for about 2 years only making a post to the news section here and there. I almost solt it for $1000 just because it wasnt making me any money. Well no one would even give me $1000 for it so about a month and a half ago I made it a point to really concentrate on it.

Happy to report in just this month alone I have had more new sign ups than all months combimed over the lifetime of the website and to date am looking at receiving about 5K in commisions! Very happy about that.

So if anyone out there is just starting up or getting frustrated and thinking of giving up - DONT! Put in some blood sweat and tears and you can be successful.

Once you get in the "grove" it’s hard to stop. It is great to hear that your efforts are turning into positives and success is really becoming an outcome for you. I would end the post here in many cases, but my quoted sentence above is leading me into posting a little further. Please, only take my advice in the following as a point which you research the subject further and learn what works for you in the long haul.

Rule number one, and as you had found, if it is broke, then you need to fix it, but a sub category of rule one would be "If it ain't broke, no need to fix but rather always keep your eyes open to help fine tune it".

I know I am new here but certainly not new to the workings of SEO and search engines. I too am also obsessed with adding content and one should never stop writing when the mind is willing, but rather know when to say "when" and archive instead for later release. Bulking up on your writings and deploying them in a timely manner based on daily, weekly and monthly releases help retain your rankings much better than releasing mass content all at once or all at once during a week or within a month. For some darn reason, along with many good reasons, Google search bots are skeptical by default. More times than less a Google bot sides on massive amount of content being released, even fresh and original content no one else has, as form of some unknown effort of spamming. Amazingly search engines and their bots want to see an established source releasing content at a normal pace. One author blogging repeatedly and randomly is something which can help a website right off the bat, but after several months unfortunately if the content being released cannot conform to some timely and structured fashion it potentially can have a negative effect when it comes to your sites SEO, rather have a stale effect which does not drop your rankings but at the same time does not increase them either.

From my findings, ideally you want to make your blog releases as timely as possible and hold blog postings for each author down to 3 to 5 posts per week. Mondays have seemed to be a day which holds forgiveness to an extent with mass releases of content given a slight build up from the weekend and I can only assume a slight drought of content being released over the weekend. This would give credence to why some portals and CMS's ask you if your week starts on Sunday or rather Monday as this holds to some standard when it comes to the release of your websites content.

Either way the OP is correct and content and bring new content is the number one factor in being scene online unless of course you’re Google themselves, but even they need to stay fresh with content releases or their own bots turn on them I have heard. LOL Even Google can be trumped during their own search on keywords and key-phrases they own if they do not stay on top of them.
