I would put my money at Mayweather. I actually do not see any scenario how McGregor would beat Mayweather. Mayweather's defence is too good to get him KO and also to beat him at points in 12 rounds.

In the Netherlands was a similar thing, however it was between two K1-fighters. Rico Verhoeven v Badr Hari. Verhoeven is K1-champion, but competition is believed to be less than before. Hari is a legendaric K1-fighter, so Verhoeven challenged Hari, who retired already.

Such a first fight is for sure the last one if Verhoeven beats him. If Verhoeven would have lost, he could put his title at stake for a next fight, but his title would have been useless if he loses to a retired fighter. Hari got injured during the fight. That's the best scenario for a re-match.

It doesn't sound unlogical that something like this happens now also or a disqualification of McGregor or something.
