Hi everyone, Leila here, just outside Toronto.

I’ve been around this industry since the late 90s. Design and affiliate work for online gaming early on, ran design for the top twenty affiliates across seven gaming properties, built the LottoRace affiliate program, sold media space for a casino directory. Some of my banners and mailers have been floating around for years with nobody knowing they were mine.

Since then I’ve built sites for clients in manufacturing, food packaging, renovation, retail, aviation and e-commerce.
Design is where I started but I do the whole digital side now. Websites from scratch, SEO, copy, email, banners, affiliate programs.
AI runs through most of my work at this point. The imagery, which takes stock licensing and photoshoots out of a budget completely. The builds, which come together far quicker than they used to.
The SEO side too, including getting sites showing up in AI answers and not just the blue links. I’ve also got an affiliate project on the go right now built around all of it, which I can’t say much about yet.

Hi Leila, welcome to the GPWA. You have extensive experience in the industry, and I admire how you've adapted to all the changes. For some of us (myself included), AI has thrown us off balance, and we're still trying to find our footing.

Have you checked your robots.txt? Loads of sites block GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot without knowing it, usually a plugin or a host default. If they’re blocked, nothing else you do matters.
Are you already using AI to help you? It’s always been more challenging with gambling portals re: SEO, but if anyone can figure it out, it’s this industry. It’s just trial and error till we find the right combo for gaming portals.
