Hello & Review Request

[TipsterWarehouse]

Thought I should formally say hi on here.
I'm Darren, Co-Founder of Tipster Warehouse.

I was hoping that I could ask you to take a look at our site, http://www.tipsterwarehouse.co.uk and take a few moments to leave your comments and feedback about how we look, feel and any suggestions for improvement.

Thanks in advance

Hi Darren, welcome to the forum. I have just checked out your site and i love the concept of the packages you provided. Its clean quick loading and services look to provide realistic profits. Good luck with it.

Looks like a great website, set up in direct competition to bet advisor?

Charging for tips is a great way to go if you can get the sign ups! It may be an avenue we look at, but not for a while.

Good luck buddy.

They weren't in mind as our competitor's as such, but guess they are.
We're aiming for affordable pricing. Like a 'stack it high, sell it cheap' but without the compromise on service levels.

I don't think it's a bad market to be in. Quite a few sites sell picks with much less accuracy, research and service to a mass market, albeit at a knockdown cost.

If I were you I'd probably have a summary page of what you get for the VIP package. A quick easy way to rip all the information they need off the site without having to scroll and click about.

Do you know how your going to generate your traffic?

[TipsterWarehouse]

Thanks Voids.
Agree with your suggestion about VIP. Thanks.
It's always good to have somebody independent review a site as you notice things like that so much appreciated.

In terms of traffic we're looking at ad-swaps and affiliation.

We actually started in March, but went for a complete redesign/relaunch in July with the site you see today.
Business is building at a slow and steady rate.

My business partner and myself were both tipsters on a competitor platform prior to launch so are looking to learn from their failings.
I'm not new to business myself, I've worked in different industries in the past. Sports betting was originally a hobby for me, but became a career (tipster) around 2-3 years ago, and of course now running this platform.

Welcome to the forum. The site looks good, there is a lot of space that you can use for calls to action, news, or whatever you wish. It is a nice website, I would put a news section or call to action next to the newsletter email sign up.

The site looks good, but too much grey color at first look IMHO
Good luck!)

Hi Darren, you have a very nice site! some feedback from me would be that you could include the titles of each tipping service underneath each image.

At the moment it is not clear from the pics what each one is for.

Did a quick mockup of what I mean:

Cheers!

I would definitely sort your image sizes out - one of them is a whopping 655kb!

Personally, I'd shrink them to the size you need and/or consider using sprites if they aren't going to be changing anytime soon...

I think the site looks slick and trustworthy which is key when trying to sell a paid-for tipping service. It looks like the customer is buying from a professional company and not some guy with a blog doing it as a hobby. Are you planning to promote bookmakers as well?

[TipsterWarehouse]

Thanks for the feedback, we'll look to implement those suggestions.

Luke - We can/do promote bookies through our daily email. I believe that we are registered with Paddy Power but being totally honest without regular updates I have a tendency to forget some people we've registered with.
I'll take a look though and see what we can promote.

Site looks good, but grey background so....grey. May be able to choose the color of different versions but that's just my opinion. Good luck

[gamblerscompendium]

looks good tipping services are very competetive though as are most things these days though i guess good luck!

[sweetbet]

Very nice looking site. My advice would be to make the links to your twitter and facebook pages open in a new window.

Error establishing a database connection - I think you have a problem

Haven't been able to re-create that error.
Have you seen it since on the site?
