If you ARE based in the UK and are using social media like twitter and facebook to post links then you are probably breaching the T&Cs of UK based programs. Due to a very public crackdown by UK gambling commission and advertising board - most programs have directed to remove direct UK focused links on social media.

I don't think this style of promotion has a future in the UK market.

Totally agree. UK focused links will be removed. But I have a question. Is it possible to be successful affiliate in this business and just relying on social networks without having the website with much content and proper SEO done?
I know that it can be done, and probably many of us here are doing it, bit is it much harder without a website?

Honest answer: You've missed the boat by about 10 years. Even season affiliates with 'web sites' are finding it a lot harder to make a buck these days. Hence what hope does a newbie have (with very little experience or knowledge), not to mention a newbie without a website.

I've been a casino affiliate since 2000 (19 years) and while it WAS a cash-cow, it's not anymore. Reiterating, you've missed the boat by at least 10 years!

Sorry if I sound harsh... but better to lay it on the line, than sugar coat it

I have to agree with AussieDave you missed a lot and maybe it is different niche to check. It is really very hard these days. UK is a forbidden territoy for me. Even if you start a new website, do not think of getting anything huge the first 8-10 months.
