Help needed.

Hello to everyone,

I recently discovered this forum and noticed a lot of posts which implied part of my homework for the next couple of weeks. I have a network of about 30.000 users that relate to sports betting. I can't say if this is a small or a big number, yet that's not the point of my post. I am looking assistance from people with experience in order to start expanding my monetization options. I've known about affiliations for quite some time but only decided now to start on this. Can't really complain, so far so good but some guidance would surely help.

Therefore if any of you guys have some advices, feel free to post them. And no, I am not looking for short cuts but genuine advices. Also, if you would be interested to promote your product/service into my network know that I am available.

I'd say the first piece of advice is 'know your users'

Who are they? Where from (countries)? How are they reaching you? To a FB page or a website or something else?

If you understand your users and how they are reaching you, you may/should be able to work out the best (or most likely to convert) offers to put in front of them.

Understanding them and how they reach you may then help you devise ways of attracting more.

Thank you for your reply chaumi. However I am past this point as I do know my users, I have statistics about where are the from and all that. My problem at the moment is that so far I've only done my best to provide the best services to them, and didn't really cared so much about monetization for example. So basically, I've been giving, without being "selfish" and taking.

I don't complain or anything but since I haven't given much attention to the monetization aspect, I believe that my experience in that field is quite limited. That is why I am trying to reach people on this forum, as I am sure that some from here an help me understand a lot of things in a very short time. As I said previously, I will research a lot of posts here and I am sure that with time I will learn a lot of new things and increase my experience in monetization field. However as you might know for yourself, researching on your own is totally different then having assistance.

Also I would like to thank people that sent me private messages, and I will reply you as soon as I can as for now I am limited by the minimum 10 posts rule. I would not like to cross that rule with spamming posts. Another solution would be if you sent me your contact details.

OK so if you have a good profile of your users, that's great.

To get more valuable feedback/suggestions I suspect you're going to need to be specific.

What are they landing on? Website? Specific URLs on a site? FB page(s)? (if you spell this out you will/should get some comments on usability/ potential )

Where are they from? Some will be worth next to nothing, some will be potentially valuable.

How are they landing on what they're landing on? Search terms? Ads? FB shares, twitter etc? In other words what exactly are most looking for in the first place when they hit you?


This is all specific stuff which you might not want to share, but all of it will help anyone who might be able to suggest something make useful suggestions.

To cover up all of your quesitons: my users are from my apps. I have some apps that are strictly related to sports betting for both Android & iOS platforms. Basically, they can connect at any point in time to get their information from the apps, as well as I can connect at any point in time via notifications.

Leone, I am in general a positive guy and somehow or sometimes, maybe a "yes" man. However, I am not sure how sportsbook players would see a casino promotion. Also, because of the "UK limiting" I would be enclined to say no for now. However, I will make some more research and will get back to you if I reconsider.
