    Default High minimum payment thresholds

This week I've asked two programs what their minimum payouts are for affiliates (below).

    • Vegas Folks - €1,000
    • Heart Bingo - £500 + negative carryover

When did these minimum thresholds become this high? It's getting harder and harder for small affiliates to operate and compete.

I know your pain and for sure it's getting harder and way harder when this industry was still in its infancy. €1,000 is far too much and unreasonable. I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't argue with that.

There does seem to be a move towards this nowadays, we have one which has gone to £500 minimum too.

Presumably it's related to paperwork and transaction costs, not ideal but maybe there should be an option to withdraw lower amounts with these programs and choose to incur a (very small) cost. I know the counter argument is why should I pay, I've earned that money but at least gives the choice.

I'm only guessing here so forgive me if it is incorrect, but Heart is basically ran by BetVictor, and they have a £500 threshold, but for bank transfers, it's lower for skrill etc,so this MAYbe the same with Heart, just a guess

Minimum payment thresholds for bank payments especially have gone to really high levels with some. It is definitely predatory, of course they want the money in their bank rather than yours for longer.

We have one program that upped to €800 per month minimum but when I threatened to stop traffic if they didn't pay us one month when we had <€800 they soon paid so it can be flexible if you ask.

Heart is part of BV yeah and they have had £500 threshold for bank payments for a good few years now.

Unfortunately this is the reality of life. There is demand - there is supply.

This started in 2006 and got worse once neteller and the other well known wallets pulled the plug on the US affiliates in those days.

Ever since, affiliates in some countries have been dealing with $200-$350 minimums for over 17 years.

It is only the last few years where more and more operators have changed the minimums for everyone.

This makes it even more important to study terms and pick good solid programs to work with as NCO or quotas can make things more difficult for the affiliate to gain consistency at groups.

Both how dangerous the quotas would becomes, as well as how hard things were and would become for small affiliates was spoken of and warned about back in those days also.

Appreciate the replies, this was more of a post to vent than to find any answers, but glad to hear I'm not the only one. Definitely going to check program's T&Cs more thoroughly now.

Yes, you're right. Just found out today from the AM that it's £50 for Skrill or Neteller. Will definitely look at these options.
