    No, you don't have to. It looks more professional and above a certain level it makes more sense to have it as a company. However, I'd say you're unlikely to get to that level within the first year unless you are buying a really successful site and/or investing a lot.

    Personally, I have a limited company for my main business but I run my affiliate sites as a sole trader, partly because I may want to take advantage of entrepreneur's relief on Capital Gains Tax in the UK if I am able to sell my network down the road, and my current understanding is that this doesn't apply for limited companies.

    I also don't want the headache of VAT for this project while I can avoid it.
    Interested in quality, relevant link exchanges and deals, especially with UK sites.

    Thanks, so just start w/o and if it takes off look to restructuring.
