    Default IP address

    Hi
Try www.whois.sc, you can find out the IP address of the website if that's what you mean.

Just go to the command prompt and ping the site.

At the command prompt, type "ping domain.name" without the quotes.

Even if ping is turned off and it times out, the dns server will report the ip address back.

I'm using windows XP. Basically I've seen a couple of players spam some forums I read, pimping a new casino affiliate. It bugs me more and more as I see all the hard work going into being successful. I have a hunch that the person running this site, also runs another site and I want to see if its the same person.

I had already tried whois, but all the info there was made up.
He just wrote the domain name for every field ie name. address, phone # etc.

BTW I know I'm a newb, but what is the command prompt?

You can access to the command prompt clicking on
start --> run, then type cmd and click the OK button: you should see a black window.
Then on that window type ping www.domainyouwanttoping.com and you should see the IP address of that site as result of the ping.
