Please guys help me, How can I reduce bounce rate..?
If you have good content that your visitors want to read, it generally takes them onwards into your site to read/explore a little more reducing your bounce rate.
If you have a problem then I'd have a good look at what your visitors are seeing first and try to make a judgement on why they aren't going further into your site. Perhaps ask a friend for an opinion. You could even ask us if you point out the URL.
Bounce rate isn't always bad.. depending on the site you have, Odds and Tipster sites have high bounce rates because people are looking for something specific.. I have around 70% bounce sometimes but always get thousands of visitors daily
I don't think there is a magic trick here. Make good content, add links to pages that the users of page might like to see as well and that's it.
As Wonderpunter said, some of the bounces is where you make the money - someone came to find where to play Xxxx slot, found it and left. For an affiliate site 60-70% is quite ok.

the 'magic' is simple: look at the keywords/sources your users are coming from, then think about what were they REALLY searching and did you content answered their question? Think about their intent. In theory it sounds quite simple but to do it right is an art
One of the main 'ingredients' to reduce bounce-rate is making sure your 'above-the-fold' content is triggering the user's curiosity and incentivising him to stay and dive deeper.
For example, if you have a huge logo of your site that takes 90% of what the user first sees when he enters your site, that might definitely trigger him to leave.
An correct internal link structure might help as-well, making the user understand the hierarchy he needs to go through in order to get to the piece of content he looks for - rather than having a 'link-farm' with all of your links on each page, that might confused users as there are too many options to choose from.
Furthermore, have in mind the a high bounce-rate, might also mean that users find exactly what they need on your site on their first page.
As Google Analytics calculates the bounce-rate only from the second page visited and on.
I would suggest reading some UX best-practices, it's an interesting field !

Sorry mate, let me re-phrase:
Bounce-rate of 100% is when a user didn't go deeper beyond the 1st page he arrived at.
So have in mind that if a user founded exactly what he wanted on the 1st page he arrived at - and then he went away from your site - he will have a bounce rate of 100%, so it wouldn't always indicate he left out of no interest.
Make sure that people find what they are looking for.. sounds easier than it is. What I mean by it is just content, graphics and site structure need to make sense en match together. Also use clear content headings so that visitors know immediately were to find the right content.
Having a high bounce rate can have a negative impact on your ranking, but it looks like that Adjusted bounce rate is an important metric, not a standard one.
In other words, it can be okay to have a high bounce rate, but if your visitors spend a very short time on a page and then hit a back button to return to Google, it shows that they are probably not satisfied with the content on the page.
For me, review pages usually have a highest bounce rate.
I would like to mention that I didn't install this line of code, but probably will as it can show you which pages need improvement.
If you are using Google Analytics, you only need to add a single line in standard tracking code.

Yes totally agree with everyone here - is the content actually worth reading first. be honest with yourself are you providing read-worthy information? I read a book called Youtility which is really interesting read and is loosely related to modern content as strategy for growing a successful on-line brand.
One modern 'but invasive' method is to track the users mouse with Javascript and as soon as it ventures over the back button (on desktop), you load an in-page 'pop-up' which either advertises more of your content, or perhaps it could house a form asking the user if they found what they were looking for? This is being tried by lots of bloggers, content marketeers etc. But it does come with a health warning, its invasive and disrupts your users preferred route of navigation.
Javascript can also measure periods of inactivity, i.;e load the popup if your visitor has become inactive on the page.

Not to forget make sure any out gong links you have always open in a new window. Bounce rate is becoming increasingly important and if you want to stay ahead of the curve you do need to look at it.
Interlinking and good content are the main points.
the meta description that is shown on google search should match with what they will find on your page. also a lot of related content on the page that they will go to so that they visit another page and not bounce
Have you checked user BEHAVIOUR FLOW on Google Analytics? You can get an idea what pages are getting high bounced rates/drop off rate.
A good keyword research may help! User land to your site by putting some keyword. If you have not targeted the proper and relevent keyword in your content for which the user is looking for then surely the bounce rate may increase. Meta description, proper navigation, loading speed of website are also important factor to be consider to reduce the bounce rate.
An interesting test I did here which I thought I should share with you. I had a relatively high bounce rate but excellent site speed. I then I changed link click trough's to open in new windows, this I must add is not recommended for site speed (by google) ..... but doing this has reduced my bounce rate significantly by over 18%. I have as of yet not seen any adverse ranking on Google for doing this.
