How to Install the Facebook Application

In order to install the facebook application you need to first be added to the list of facebook users authorized to install the application. If you have access to this thread during the beta testing period, then you should also be authorized to install the application. However, you will not be able to pass these installation instructions onto a friend to install the application unless they have first been added to the list of authorized users by us.

To install the application, you must be logged into facebook and then follow the link below:

In the upper right corner of the "Casinos I've Visited" application page that should be displayed you should see the text "This application can be added to your Facebook account." followed by a button that reads "->] Add to Profile." Click on this button, and then on the next page click on the "->] Add Casinos I've Visited" button to add the application.

Since the application is currently a beta application, only other facebook users who are also authorized to use the beta application will be able to see it within your facebook profile page. It will be invisible to everyone else.

That part of the application is a separate interface (one for consumers, one for webmasters as described in the thread www.gpwa.org/forum/about-initial-facebook-application-174792.html.

However, as is frequently the case with development projects, it has taken us longer than we hoped to have that part of the application ready. In that thread I had stated:

We are still working on the affiliate management back-end application, and we currently expect it will not be until late March or early April until that part of the application will be ready to be used in the beta testing process.

However, our current expectation is that it will be a few more days until the first portion of the back-end application is made available. And it will be a couple weeks after that until the associated reporting facilities are up and running.

Right now the portion of the application that will be available to facebook users can be used. We are also working on a lot of changes there too, and we expect to roll out some significant enhancements over the next couple of weeks.
