Default How long would Income Access track the traffic?

Thank your for your time this is a two part question.

    1) For some cashback websites, the system record your visit and as long as you make the purchase after 14 days after your visit, it will be tracked and the referral is valid.

As for the bookies and affiliate programmes, I can see most of them use Income Access, How long would Income Access track that visit? As in do I have to register right away after the advert is clicked for this referral to be valid?

    2) Some bookies operate mirror sites in China, so it is quite usual if a player clicked on my advert and goes to a mirror site if they are in China, where as in other parts of the world they goes to the preset landing URL. Will this be tracked?

For example, the preset landing url for 188bet is 188bet .co.uk and the Chinese traffic goes to 188188188188b .com

It is strange that some times it goes to a 404 Page of 188bet as shown, the text link on the page direct the traffic to
    188188188188b .com
which I am not sure if it is tracked

What is more strange is that some times the Chinese traffic lands on a complete different URL which is neither 188bet main site or the mirror sites, I am wondering is this ISP or DNS Hijacked?

I tried to ask the affiliate team on 188bet but they are very slow ( > 1 month) to reply. If you have previous experience similar to me please help on the matter. Many thanks! <3

Each individual program can choose how ling the cookie is good for, and whether it is over-writeable.

Sadly, the IA software makes it too easy for affiliate programs to turn off links, which is a REALLY stupid move for any program to send traffic to a 404 page.

Some affiliate programs have no concept of smart business when it comes to preserving traffic. If an offer expires or a bonus is changed or a promotion ends, a SMART affiliate program will redirect traffic from the expired links to the home page or maybe the promotions page so the visitor can have the opportunity to see the current offers etc.

The length of the cookies or whether it is over-writeable or not has less to do about whether it is IA software or not and more to do about how the affiliate program structures the cookie system for affiliates.

Thank you for your promt reply.

I dont think it is because of that url is an expired bonus page. Because with the same advert I can see it performs normally and goes to the home page, from other part of the world except China. The landing URL it shows on the IA system is the home page not a bonus page.

However I think you are quite right, it might be a geo-targeted rule that 188bet set to direct Chinese traffic to a mirror site, and when the mirror site expred, it shows 404, or even a scam site?

In that case, do I just use another (newer possibly) advert?

If you are right and the link you are using is geo-targeted and not available to you in China, then you should try another link that you have verified does work.

It would likely be wise for you to contact your affiliate manager contact and ask which links if any will not work in China, so that this will not continue to happen to you.
