Question How many affiliate programs do you work with?

Most gambling portal webmasters work with a number of different affiliate programs. Each one you work with adds some extra work, but also provides greater diversity both for visitors to your site and for your revenue stream since fewer eggs are in the same basket. I thought it would be interesting to find out how many different programs different webmasters use.

Since Online.CasinoCity.com is a online gaming directory portal site that list every online gaming site in the world, we try to have relationships with as many programs as possible. Although we have avoided having relationships with sports betting sites, I'm going to guess that we probably still set the record for the most affiliate programs worked with by a single site.

According to Rebecca and Matt we currently work with 131 distinct affiliate programs. Keeps them pretty busy. And you don't even want to know what our finance department thinks about trying to sort out what payments come from what programs.

I have about 25-30 affiliate accounts due to the nature of my website (which is a sports book review site), but I only work closely with a handful of them.

    Hi all,

a tough question in these times. I try to only list casinos that are doing their best to pay players ... not just offer excuses.

currently I have pulled back to just 2 programs ... (three if I ever payment as I assume is coming today).

the thing is ... is its tough to weed out the good from the bad because of the ever changing climate towards payment solutions.

if things ever get back to a solid reliable solution as NETeller used to be ... my number of programs will jump back up. But I just don't have time to go chasing around changing banners and links all the time in beat to the current status of many of the casinos in regards to getting payments to players.

case in point would be CPS. They now have payment solutions in place for US players but there was a point there where they didn't ... even though I think they denied this but that was certainly not the case reported by some players who were trying to cash out. I don't blame them ... In fact I applaud their efforts to get payment solutions in place .... but I've yet to get back around to getting them listed again ... and that is just one of many, many examples.

the reason I don't hurry up re-list these places is that I'm worried as soon as I do ... they won't have a working solution anymore. so i have to wait and see all the while knowing this makes me look bad in the eyes of such quality sponsors ...... but I have to think of my players first.
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

I promote about 10 different affiliate programs to keep my steams on income coming in.... and they are all targeted toward different types of players (aka casisno, poker, sportsbetting, bingo, skills games, etc)..... For me personally, I like to work with affiliate programs that provide excellent promotions and send out a regular mailer with the newest promotions available at the online gaming sites that they run. I find this very important so I can keep the content on my sites updates and keep current with new promotions.

I am slowly growing the number of programs I work with... but honestly the number has been fluctuating pretty heavily over the past year or so with consolidations and some program reputations taking a turn for the worse, overall.

I probably have at least 50 affiliate programs that I am signed up with (which would include many individual casinos, sportbooks, bingo sites, and poker sites), but there are only about 5 programs that I aggressively promote. The others I just list in my directories and may have a banner or two throughout my website and I do make money off them occasionally.

These were my best peforming programs before everything changed:

Brightshare - A solid performer with payments every month (still doing fairly well).

Casino Rewards - Not performing as well since they changed to the wagering plan. Will probably not be promoting them heavily anymore.)

Fortune Affiliates - Performed well before the internet gambling act went into effect. Not performing as well now, but hope it picks up soon. Waiting for my regular customers to return. Had a few regular customers who dropped large sums each month.

Cash Wave - Good performer. Payments every month. They have become smaller though.

Villento Affiliates - Only been promoting them for about 4 months and seems to be a good converter. Have received a couple of nice payments so far.

One of my loyal U.S. players at Brightshare is back and deposited almost $600 already this month so this is a good sign. I also had a couple more U.S. players to make deposits there as well this month. I like Brightshare's stats as they allow you to see where your players originate from and Brightshare has always paid me - never missed a payment.

I think it is only going to be a matter of time before things pick up because real gamblers will find a way to make purchases no matter what restrictions are imposed. I myself like to gamble online and between EcoCard and EwalletXpress, it has been fairly easy.

I work with 21. Some come and go; but it generally stays around this number to offer visitors a varied choice.

I have about 20 programs currently, and I find that only one or two actually do any business. Does anyone else have this same problem?

I have 7 years experience in this niche and feel confident to say that if you've given them time to produce .... tested them to be honest and found them to be so .... then move them to back pages.

if you've tested and found them cheating/incompetent. DUMP them without a second thought.

if you've not tested .... you're not spending your money wisely.

    ps.

don't test from your name/IP/state or zip code.

get somebody from another part of the country to test. this has worked best for me.

    good luck.

I work with 10 programs currently. Although I do have accounts at a couple of others. I am truly amazed with the numbers that have voted 50+.

It begs the question, are their 50 reputable affiliate programs operating in this industry? Not just from an affiliate point of view, but from a player perspective. I personally highly doubt this.

I work with about 20 sportsbooks and betting exchanges.
Many of these have casino / poker offerings.

We also have about half a dozen each of specialist casino and poker rooms.

Throw in a backgammon partner, a blackjack specialist and we get up to about 34 programs - and yes they're ALL top notch.

Of these I'd say about half of them are producing a worthwhile income ...

Of the rest - some are relatively new - some are niche markets that I'm not really covering in depth (hench slow uptake) and some do just fail to ever get a decent signup level.

I've probably dropped about 20 other programs in the 7 years that I've been online - all because for they did not create enough cashflow (for what ever reason).
