Question How Many Affiliate Programs Do You Work With?

We all have a different idea and number of programs we work with and promote. With so many programs I am curious how many people work with on a regular basis and track stats.

I used to work with lots of different programs. When I was starting out I thought the more affiliate programs I could sign up to the better. It felt like every sign up form I filled in opened up a new avenue for making money.

Over the years though I've learned to focus on a small number of reliable programs. I've still got a number of accounts scattered around, but any income from those is just a bonus.

I'm pretty sure that the majority of affiliate programs I've signed up to no longer exist.

I can tell that 60% of my affiliates (saas) has more than 50 accounts. Only few own more than 100 and very few 200+ usually for large media/ppc companies

I've got around 20 casinos with some of them represented by the same affiliate programs.

At the moment, I'm not planning to not add any more, as this number provides roughly equal exposure/visibility to everyone.

I might be wrong, but I think it's better to have 5 good sites with 20 casinos on each than 1 site with 100.

That really depend on the traffic.

you might habe "minimum deposit" kind of traffic that will convert only on this kind of brands.
Or get top position on a slot review page that is not listed on the brand you work with.

On top of this, new brand convert better, old accounts with rev share deal, etc...

Well, as I see competitors promote 20-50 brands and it works.
About our project we target different countries and we have lots of accounts.

Yeah, with a ton of traffic there would be different options to choose from, and that would come to a personal preference. My choice would be like the casino.org approach. They have 1mil. monthly visitors and only 10 casinos listed for the UK which they (almost) never changed for the last 3 years.

I used to use a “scattergun approach” to signing up and promoting casinos.

I have just completed a review of some of the major and minor programs that I belong to. And based on that review (see signature site), I'm going to change my focus to promote casinos from a few good affiliate programs that pay well, convert and no not “mess around with” either their affiliates or their players.

I haven’t yet decided on the details, but I’m tired of “spinning my wheels” and working for “clowns” that do not measure up.

Visited your site and was reading some bits and bobs.. It's a good idea with that play/promote thing.

I would create an HTML table with two columns, one for PLAY and one for PROMOTE.

That would save me from repeating those words over and over.

But it's your site, and the choice is yours too.

By the way, I'll be coming back to check those aff. %.

As someone already mentioned here 20-50 brands is a good number in my humble opinion.

Currently working with roughly 10 casino affiliate programs that are converting for me. It's more than enough imo. I want to concentrate only on existing casinos and build them up, as I've been an affiliate with them for many years already. I can't be bothered really to sign up with anymore new programs, as they'll take time to build traffic to them and who knows if they'll actually convert or not.

The amout of aff programs is depends on the style of content. If you have landing page 10-20 will be nice. If you have lot of pages with targeted markets, payments - 50+ is ideal

We have 5-6 good partners where 95% of the revenue comes from.
These are the partners we focus on.

We have 10-12 other programs where AMs have approached, or we've tried because it looks good / or we use them - and they've never really developed into a valuable option.

We have 30+ programs that we've discontinued - either because it never showed value, or they've added in predatory minimum activity clauses, or they've changed terms or closed down.

In my opinion - if you're listing 20+ programs - then you're probably not promoting ANY of them to the fullest.

There are 18 casinos on my website. I only introduce casinos that I have actually used. Avoid casino sites that have bad reviews and reputation and do not promise safety

The main revenue comes from 5-6 programs.(same opinion as TheGooner and same business model).

With the other, I have good contacts with AM's and also checking new softwares around.

The main ideas are : to get good and fast communication and explanations ( always skipping accounts or programs, where AM are chaning constantly in 3-4 months time), regular payouts and good conversions, no untagging or tagging of players no matter what or how(but many of you have suffered situations like these).

Yes, some new programs might have a "sky-rocket" start, but in a 1-2 years they just disappear and take away all the value you brought to them.
Seven times fall, eight times stand.

Interesting results albeit a small sample. 75% work with 50 or fewer programs.
We work with quite a few however the 80/20 rule strangely still applies.
