Default How much more does a program with negative carryover have to pay?

As gaming affiliates there are a wide variety of affiliate programs we can work with that have different terms and conditions for working with affiliates. Some bundle properties together when determining revenue share and some don't. Some carryover negative amounts from one month to the next, some quarantine winning players when the wins are large, some let you start fresh each month and don't carry forward negative earnings.

If two programs were otherwise exactly equal in their offers and in their ability to convert and retain players then choosing the program without negative carryover would yield the best result. But what about when a program has negative carryovers, but also paid a larger share of revenue than a program that does not have a negative carryover. Where do you think the breakeven point is for you as an affiliates?

How much larger does your revenue share have to be from a program that has negative carryovers for it to be an equally good program from your perspective when everything is is the same?

Good thread Michael - very hard to close.

I chose 5% but its purely a guess - on average negative months are maybe once a year so maybe the % is higher.

bet365 carry over negative revenues but the advantage they have is the strength of their brands/products/service as a whole. It seems like accepting negative carry over is better than promoting a brand than doesn't carry over negative revenue but doesn't convert nowhere near as well.

It depends on what you are comfortable with - it also depends on the bargaining power of yourself vs the brand.
