Default How old are your EARS?

So this video says that the older you are, your ability to hear high pitch sounds deteriorates, which of course makes sense.
What's nice about this video is it lets you measure how old your ears are compared to your actual age!

Even though I'm 31 years old, I was still able to hear the 17k Hz sound, which, on average can only be heard by people 24 or younger. So, while it's tough for me to climb 4 stories without having to catch my breath, at least one part of my body is actually young.

    How old are your ears?

** You have to watch the video in 1080p and use earphones **

When the one for 30 came on I could only hear a tapping sound. That can't be right! My ears are amazing! And I'm only 30 next week!

Actually men are the ones that loose the ability to hear high pitch sounds; that is why old married women are always saying that their husbands have selective hearing as women emit high pitch sounds. Very convenient for their husbands LOL

It's also the reason why men don't wake up from the sound of their own baby crying.

Like Renee started hearing tapping at Under 30, but I could hear tapping at even under 20. I don't know if I'm younger or older! Anyone under 20 could tell if it's all long beeps or if they hear the taps too!

    Everybody hears the tapping, guys
It's the very high-pitched sound that you're not hearing...

I could only hear up to the 16k which is under 30, worse than my ears should be for my age although I knew that already... been to far too many gigs without wearing earplugs and always end up with tinnitus afterwards, sometimes for days.

Same as Luke, Im 26 and got the under 30 one.

Hardly surprising when pretty much every time I go out, I put myself as close as I can to the largest speaker I can find.

Great, now I can add another thing to my growing age... before it was the bad eye sight, the start of losing hair, starting to get more and more gray hairs, my body cant take hangovers like I used to, my knee hurts, etc etc etc... now I'm a little deaf too!
