    Default Transfer SEO value

    Hi all,

I know that you can redirect a website to another domain extension, but this has of course an impact on your SEO value. Backlinks are for example linking to your old domain name and that's not expedient. Or is it these days possible to keep all your SEO value and transfer it to a new domain name extension?

Yes. It is not a problem to change a domain. I've seen various websites doing this. Some came back even stronger.

A 301 redirect will transfer the link juice. It is basically telling the search engines it's a permanent redirect.

When I hear your answers, it seems that it is perfectly doable

But just to be sure: this is not comparable in any way with a conversion from http to https?
I know that's something different, but I heard more than one negative SEO story about this.

    Basically, that's the same trick.

About everything you will hear both positive and negative SEO stories. If you do not do things well, your site might get hurt. Same thing for adding content, building links, etc.

Hi Ash Ketchum, of course, it certainly can be done. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to accomplish that. Good luck.
