    Hello!

How about a one way link exchange for PR 4 sites?

I can put any link from you on my PR 4 front page site:

    http://www.getrich.uk.com/

when you would add the linking code below to one of your PR4 site (frontpage or other PR4 when frontpage has higher PR):

    <a href="http://www.playtech-internet-casinos.com/"><b>Playtech Internet Casinos</b></a>

When my link has been added, please tell me where to find and send me your linking code.... I will add it immediately then! to...

    http://www.getrich.uk.com/

    Hope you are interested?!

    Kind regards
    Chris

    Hi BigBucks,
I think we're on the same page about acceptable use of the private messaging system. I asked that he post such offers within the forum rather than send them through PMs, and he understands that it can't happen again.

    BigBucksGaming,

First, whenever you have a problem like this, it is first best to pm Cityguard, Michael, or a senior member to look into it.

If you need to make it semi-public, please post in the private areas so that the membership may review the issue and respond.

The membership here regards ethics and procedure very highly, and most of us here are extremly anti-spam.

I too recieved the link exchange pm, but since I have had personal conversations with him in other matters, I felt it was more of a friend asking a friend for a link exchange as opposed to general spamming for a link.

Obviously, if today 40 or 50 people say they also recieved this same pm, then maybe we should talk to him, but slow down a bit, and remember that most every webmaster that comes here does so in an attempt to learn how to better market their own websites and exchange ideas and sometimes links with their peers.

I don't think it's spamming, in my opinion is just a friendly request.

I got this too and took it as a friendly business offer. I also got a pm from another member I don't know pointing out a potential problem with my site that needs fixing, I appriciate that and it's another reason I like gpwa.

IMHO, it is correct for us to encourage such communications as posts to the forums for all to see unless they really are private communications tailored to a specific member.

I really dont want link exchange PMs unless it is specific to something I posted in the general forums. I think generic offers like the one in this thread should be a forum post that I can choose to, or not to, reply.

Yes, I would place a general link exchange request in the public/private forums.

But I would also at times pm someone directly with a request, in much the same way that I would approach someone in email. But, like I tried to explain above, I would do this only if I had already established a business relationship with him/her,...and of course I wouldn't approach 40 people in this manner.

Since I have been a member roughly 18 months I have received 18 mails, most of which were replys to my inquireries. I have not been spammed. I hope this small incident doesn't deter newbies or regular folks from feeling or being intimidated that they can't pm someone.

I also got the PM. Ijust deleted it. It was a generic form copied and pasted. I don't believe the person looked at my site. Never mentioned either of my sites. Wanting a link with a certain PR. Doesn't even know the PR of my sites.

If you mention PR to me, that kills any possible link deal. I don't go for the page rank bull. I link according to the quality of the site.

    Doesn't seem like spam,
he must've sent lots of pms since everyone above seemed to know that.
    well,
it looks like friendly link exchange offer , just a thought .
