The review includes commitments such as stake limits for online slots, creating an independent ombudsman for consumer redress, introducing a statutory levy for funding research and treatment, and more.

The speech highlighted the Gambling Commission's increased focus on tackling illegal online gambling. This includes collaborating with payment providers, search engines, social media platforms, and software licensees to disrupt unlicensed operators. The Commission reported significant successes, with increased enforcement actions and reduced traffic to illegal sites.

Rhodes emphasized the importance of collaboration between international regulators to address illegal gambling and share best practices and highlighted the value of working together to ensure better outcomes for both regulators and consumers, especially as more countries look to regulate online gambling.
