iGB DownUnder Thread

Just kicking this one off - Its at the end of March once again in Sydney but this time we have moved to Star City.....A casino....Perfect - You can see the site here www.iGBDownUnder.com

Over the next few weeks we will be sorting sponsors/exhibitors and of course the sessions so keep an eye out - It was a great event last time and fingers crossed it will be even better this time around

Hi all

Thought I would post this just quickly here since this is the iGB Down Under official thread (I couldn't find another one)...

Rewards Affiliates will be holding the wind down event for the iGB Down Under conference to be held at the end of this month..

Those who attended last time will remember we held the opening party at the spectacular Opera Bar located just next to the Sydney Opera House where the view was breathtaking..

This time we will be holding a Beach Volleyball and BBQ down at Bronte Beach.

Apart from being an all round beautiful beach, visitors can also do the famous walk from Coogee to Bondi (Bronte is about half way). The full walk is about 2-3 hours long and is absolutely amazing.. Anyone who has done it will be able to tell you that

The wind down will be held on Friday 26th March 2010 from midday until around 4pm depending on weather and numbers.. if it happens to be a great sunny day we may even stay down there longer..

All attendees of iGB Down Under are welcome and I believe the RSVP page will be sent around in the next update, however thought I'd post it here too

BBQing in a bikini? the guys can't say no to that! Though if it turns out that the bikini doesn't exist, does that mean you will be BBQing naked?

Hahahaha, well, when I wrote Bikini may or may not exist, what I meant was "bikini subject to change"..

I was telling my mother last night that I'll be bbqing in a bikini and she said 'but what if the oil splats on you and burns you?' - good point i thought...

However....

I will wear the bikini none the less.. I may just have to put an apron over it to cook the bbq...

BTW - re the dirty mind comment - I think you and I are going to get along like a house on fire

LOL, sounds like it! Your mom did have a good point though! And so the image is not lost you could get one of those cool "Bikini aprons" with a pic of your bikini bod on it

Also - a HUGE note to make, for the people who are not Aussies (or have palish skin), make sure to bring suncream (although I will try to remember to bring some with me). The hole in the ozone layer is right on top of Oz/NZ so we have the worst sun in th world. Many britts leave our shores with 3rd degree burns from being in the sun for even an hour sometimes, so I would definitely recommend some suncream.

Unless you have gypsy skin like me and don't burn
Even then if you're not an Aussie and not used to it, I'd still say to wear suncream.

Thanks for the warning Renee! I have skin so white I blend into the snow, so I will have to pack on the SPF 2000! I forgot about the ozone hole too!
