Hi, guys,
Currently currently we do add alt text for each image on our resource, but we do not have traffic from search engines with image search. Does someone have stats regarding this moment? Is it youseful to think about each img alt text, or it does not influence traffic?

Alt text is not actually meant for keyword stuffing, it is meant for what shows when images are turned off or the text that is read by screen readers.

Sure, a bazillion years ago web developers did do a certain amount of keyword stuffing and spamming with that, but Google reduced the effect of that many many years ago.

You can use a small amount of image titles as well, but if you are expecting big results from that, you are reading very old seo articles, and could end up doing more damage then good.

If your site ranks well on content, then you can expect some image searches, but someone searching for say "slot machine banner" is probably another web developer needing images to create artwork for a competing portal.

It would likely be pretty rare that a player would search for "best online casino" in an image search.

alt text just needs to be a description of the image for those that cannot view images. If the image is relevant to your content and adds something that supports the content then good alt text is more likely to help the page but the alt text in itself is not really a ranking tool.

We often leave alt text blank if the image is generic to add colour or enrich a page but do add alt text if the image has a relevant point.
