Important Update - bet365 Affiliate Compliance

As affiliates may have seen, an important announcement is being made today regarding the bet365 affiliate programme.

The announcement is being sent to the email address that is registered on each affiliate account, in both English and any other language selected.

A notification about the announcement is also being sent as a web message in the affiliate’s selected language.

Affiliates must read, digest and act upon this announcement.

The announcement applies to all affiliates irrespective of size, results or relationship.

Due to the regulatory framework and the importance of compliance with it, affiliates that have not responded in a satisfactory manner by close of business on Friday 20^th October 2017 will have their accounts suspended and will not be able to withdraw any commissions from their account.

After this deadline, as the first priority, bet365 will review affiliates that have confirmed compliance and consider any queries from affiliates in relation to the announcement raised before the response deadline. bet365 will then discuss any issues that need to be addressed directly with each affiliate.

The second priority will be looking at responses from affiliates that were received after the deadline.

Therefore, despite our best efforts, it could take weeks for us to work through the responses and queries from those that miss the deadline, so please be prepared for that if you don’t respond within the deadline.

Complying with all relevant legislation, regulations, codes and guidance across all of the markets and territories that bet365 serves is mandatory. All affiliate partners, large and small, will all be subject to the same sanctions for failure to operate in line with our compliance policy.

In the interests of protecting bet365, its affiliate programme and its affiliate partners, we expect that affiliates will understand the importance of this the policy and will work with us to ensure that it is reflected in all bet365 marketing by affiliate partners.

All other policy responses must go to the email address specified in the policy document attached to the email, due to the process we have in place for managing the replies.

I have received the message in bulgarian language. On which language should I reply to the message - Bulgarian or English?

I've been trying to respond but my emails are bouncing back with the following error,

"This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of

Is anyone else having this problem?

I'll try again later in case it's a temporary fault but I've been trying for a couple of hours now.

I think I've found a workaround - you should have the email from another address. Interesting that this only happens when sending to bet365.

I have an issue with banners. I am in contact with my aff manager and she told me that any advertising material hosted by bet365 is OK, others are not OK. I use my own promo material. I've sent the ads/pages where the links are, modified them with links to GambleAware and 18+, but it seems she cannot review the ads until 20th of October.

I am a bit confused. So I must use only their banners until 20th of October, then switch to my own promo material, wait for approval and then everything will be ok?

One more question, maybe James can answer: The link to GambleAware needs to be present on every page where there's a reference (not link) to bet365 or only on the page that links to bet365? My site only links to bet365 from one page.

As far as I understand it, the deadline to submit your site is the 20th, then they start the evaluation process after this date. Likely to take some time after that before you hear anything unless you are working with your affiliate manager, where they might be able to give you a heads up of compliance, as mine has.

What I understood from my emails with my aff manager:

1. you must use ONLY their promo material, for now.
2. after 20th of october, they will start the evaluation process.
3. if you make your own ads, they must be first approved before going online - this will happen only after 20th and it will take some time for them to work on individual requests.
4. in my personal case, I am not sure if my site is complaint, the aff manager did take a look at my page but gave no clear answer (You are compliant/You're not complaint).

I can name a few big (huge) sites that are still promoting Bet365 without using their promo materials. This is a bit confusing, to say the least, but I decided to stop thinking about this, do as they say, have patience, everything will be ok and so on

I had received the letter and I had sent questions on 2 points and never ever did I get a clear answer.

All I see is demands, demands and demands, and questionable decisions like managers suspending accounts based on some spam twitter posting one of my offers, that had no offers inside.

Can't imagine thousands of sites asking for review and approval and getting it fast

Their promo material is what you will find in the Banners/Links/Creative section. For example, I am not allowed to link this text:

1. Sign up...
2. Login
3. Do whatever

I am allowed to use only the text available on their promo materials.
I am not allowed to use any other images, made by me, with reference to bet365.

Of course, you might fall into a different category (although I was assured that rules apply to all), a category of affiliates/sites who are promoting bet365 any way they want - who are still online, alive and kicking, as we speak.

It used to be a time when I was, I might say, e medium affiliate. I made them some bucks, I made some bucks, I've been working with them for 9 years now, I will say again that BET365 IS THE BEST out there, but the situation now is pretty absurd. I am trying to understand and be patient.

I did comply with all that my aff manager said (in the meantime, I received and email with "do this and that" and I did), I don't want to comment on this anymore. At least I will try not to, since I do not know what pressure is on them - I am trying to understand them as well.

We all know that bet365 affiliate program was not "absurd". They were and still are the best.

The situation now, however, demands that a simple button made by you (to fit your site/template - common issues for any webmaster) with the text bet365 on it and linking to them, must be approved before going online.

Yes, I know it is an extreme example, but it is according to the new rules.

So I am guessing there must be a lot of pressure on them. Patience is the answer.

In the meantime, lots of sites online with... but I will stop here.

I would like to know if those strict rules are only valid for UK. I am about to drop or further restrict anything in UK. I can understand that UK is getting a corporate-fascist state beyond borders and nobody can do anything with that.

But bet365 is in grey area in many countries, they avoid site blocks etc. there, so being ultrastrict with marketing rules out of UK makes no sense for me there. Maybe I am missing something. Hopefully AM will respond to this.

I am getting the same email to take down bonus offer. 1st it was UK, then Spain, then Brazil, than rest of Latin America. Always there is a few days deadline, always fast response needed and then fast action and I always do not get even response that my email reached someone.

Also always my team goes through all the websites and edits only certain geo-pages. On the top I am on trip now. Stressful.

my account was suspended too, and i answered to these mails and received confirmation from my acc manager that is ok...
I don't understand why bet want to suspend an affiliate that give monthly more than 100 new depositors, this is starting to be a joke... bad one
