Indonesian Traffic?

Hi Guys,

We have a premier league tips and champions league tips website. We are getting more Indonesian traffic than anything else. We wanted british traffic for our affiliates.

Is there anything we can do to convert these Indonesian hits into revenue? This is our first project of this nature. We would appreciate any advice.

I've also seen lots of traffic from that area of the world back when I ran some social media campaigns on facebook. Since that was paid, I very quickly just decided to exclude traffic from that part of the world as something I would pay to promote, since I never could figure out how to generate any revenue from the resulting traffic from that part of the world.

I think it is just generally part of the organic SEO aspect of being an affiliate. You definitely get traffic from geographic regions that are hard to monetize. Sort of the age-old maxim stated a different way: 80% (or more) of the traffic is from locations that generate 20% (or less) of the revenue.

We've never done this kind of thing before and we assume it's the popularity of the Premier League. If we can't monetise it its fine was wondering/hoping someone has done something from this country. We thought of adsense but it dilutes our affiliate marketing and changes the look of our website

Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia) and Africa (Kenya and Nigeria) are sources of large volumes traffic but unfortunately 99.9% of it is low value, or only interested in betting with cash at local bookies.

It IS possible to get a big punter from the Asian traffic - we do from time to time - but even with the big players factored in ... the average value per player is very, very low.

I am not the big specialist of asian market. But i know only one, that traffic from this part of the planet may bring you very good money. Try to talk with guys from these brands. They must know, what asian players want.

I think u might be wrong, as a Chinese, at least in China, u are very likely to get big punters if u can do a good black-seo of your website.
I don't know exactly how it goes in Malaysia,Thailand,Indonesia. But I know some brands like fun88.com, tlcbet.com, Dafabet.com really make a huge from there.. and there operators running their business in grey area(maybe illegal area), I guess they don't need to pay high tax like their counterparts in UK.
Actually they might making more money than some reputable brands in European.

Thanks guys, we will go to affiliates mentioned above and have another think. Its just frustrating having traffic we cant monetise especially when we can't get a lot of english traffic for some reason.

But work on usa/europe market for last several years.
p.s. May i ask you are question? Do Mainland players use VPN/proxy servers?

As far as I know, they don't use VPN for online gambling. Most brands have their mirror sites in china, they change their domain name frequently.

Also recent years, most operators who specifically targeting Chinese market will block the IP address come outside of mainland, which makes u no way to use vpn.

this is also a big problem in Chinese market, some big brand's domain will always be hi-jacked, which means when the user type the domain name in their browser, then they type "Entry" key, they will be redirected to another gambling site. Sort of DNS hijack, this black SEO is really a big problem for this illegal domain.

Hi - we currently in need for Indonesian traffic for our social media event, why don't we trade so that you can convert that as revenue as well from that 'unexpected' traffic on your ends.
