InterCasino on a Mac
I'm 99% certain that the Instant Play version of InterCasino is Mac-compatible. Can someone confirm, please?
I'm pretty sure that the Inter website used to make reference to the instant version being Mac compatible but there's nothing there now - and I've really tried to find such a reference on the site. Shouldn't something be prominent for Mac users? There's not even a reference in the system requirements.
Thanks

Hi FictionNet,
I know that InstantPlay works fine through Safari, but couldn't tell you offhand about Apple hardware. I will speak to our developers and confirm.
Thanks

Any news? Do you know if I'm right in thinking that Mac-compatibility comments have been removed from the Intercasino site?

Hi FictionNet,
Currently, we don't have the software download option for InterCasino for Mac hardware. However, 'Instant Play' works fine for Safari. I couldn't tell you right now when the download software will be made Mac-compatible, but the 'Instant Play' is the option for Mac users at the moment.
Thanks,
Tom

Thanks, Tom. Yeah, it's the 'Instant Play' (no download) version I've been talking about. Do you know if I'm right in thinking that the homepage of Inter used to mention Mac compatibility? I'm sure it did and I really think it needs to be back on there.
I'm going to copy/paste a recent blog/update from CasinoBeacon. I hope it makes sense.

We're famously blunt with our Casino Reviews and it's not something we feel a need to be apologetic about. We're not shy about telling a casino when we think they're wonderful so when an online casino does something stupid, we're going to shout about that too. If we sound narked, it's because we are. Sometimes one particular casino will do something to wind us up but today, it's nearly all of them.
We've spent some time updating the Mac Casino section here at Casino Beacon and it's not been easy. Finding out whether an online casino is Mac compatible shouldn't be much of a problem but it's been a near hopeless task. Finding the word 'Mac' anywhere on an online casino website has been a task not dissimilar to locating the Holy Grail.
We are primarily PC users here at Casino Beacon and we know that most of our visitors are using a PC but we're well aware that lots of people own Macs. We're not sure exactly what percentage of people are using a Mac but a bit of research tells us it's anything between 5% and 10% of all computer owners (and either increasing or decreasing, depending on which report you read). Our own visitor stats indicate the number is towards the lower end of that scale but however you look at the figures, they add up to alot of people.
We know that most online casinos will work with a Mac but only if you're using the no download 'instant play' version. This isn't any kind of drawback for Mac users - the instant play version of a casino is usually just as good as the download version so there's no reason for a casino not to tell their Mac owning visitors how to play. We've come across nothing decent on a casino's website. The best we've been able to find is a brief reference in their FAQ or technical information pages and most casinos don't even bother with that.
We've established that lots of people own a Mac. Plenty of Mac owners will also like to gamble online but this fact seems to have escaped most UK Online Casinos. This must come across like a slammed door in your face if you happen to be a Mac user and given the current economical climate, can any business afford to be anything other than helpful and welcoming to potential customers?
An internet casino's homepage should have a prominently positioned 'download' button for PC users and an equally visible 'no download, instant play' button and they should make it clear this second button works for Mac users and PC users who don't want to download.
So if you're an online casino and you can accommodate Macs, don't bury (or totally omit) this information from your sites. Five to ten percent of your visitors will thank you for it.

Historically, I think we did have on-site that we had Mac-compatible download software, but now as that is not the case we took them down (couldn't tell you exactly when that was, but it's been a while).
However, I have taken your points into account and have organised with our marketing & web-dev team to ensure that Mac users are aware that they can use our 'Instant Play' functionality on site. As you mention, it is rather redundant not to have it mentioned as Macs are becoming more popular outside of the US.
Thanks,
Tom
