    Default iPhone 6

    Hi everyone

Does anyone have an iPhone 6? Are they worth the cash?

Getting mine in a few days once my contract expires. Apple gives me $205 for my iphone 5, which means I'll get the 6 for free.

I love iOS but I never had an iphone though I still have my ipod 4th gen.
But, I don't think I will spend my money over iphone6 or iphone 6+ because it is so so so expensive.
Whew! I really can't afford it and even if I do, I will not spend my money over an expensive phone.

I have the iPhone 6 Plus and absolutely love it. It's extremely weird for me to hold my old iPhone 5 and even my old 4S that I still have...it's night and day with the screen size and the amazing HD resolution on this bad boy. It's pretty unreal watching Netflix and Sunday Ticket on this thing, lol. I feel a little funny when I'm calling someone on it since it looks like I'm talking into a hardcover children's book or something. But given that we live in a texting type world and we mainly use our phones to kill time on FB, Instagram, our websites and other time-killing shenanigans I think I can deal with the occasional phone call every now and again, haha.

Yes, it's ridiculously huge. Yes, it's ridiculously expensive (mine was $500 and that was WITH my free upgrade - the 128 GB model I got is $950 retail without a contract basically). But it's been worth every penny and aside from worrying it's gonna pop out of my shorts at the gym it's a pretty solid phone. It's super light and fits nicely in my hand, although texting with one hand has proven a little difficult at times .

Just don't squeeze it too hard as it may bend.

Whoever goes out of their way to bend the phone - and I'm counting all the Samsung/Android faithful who are going out of their way to try and discredit the phone's functionality and overall badassness on something as silly as that - is an idiot, lol.

I don't wear skinny jeans and have no plans to put it in my back pocket either so I think my phone is safe! I also have one of those military-grade cases on it anyways so I couldn't even bend it even if I wanted to, haha :P

I agree with Christina. I think the 5 is sleeker and is probably the best looking iphone so far.

Never really owned an iPhone, but in general I'd agree that 5 is the best looking version so far. I'm really peculiar about phone designs, my personal favorites currently are the various HTC One and Sony Xperia Z smartphones.

In general I understand the appeal of Apple's products, but the prices for me are usually too high to spend on such tech.

I totally agree with the previous post - iProducts are way to expensive compared to other similar products on the market.
Me personally, I prefer Android (read it open source) stuff, and if I were to give a bunch of cash then I would opt for a Nexus 5

Their price may be higher but their resell value is excellent because of their brand. Apple now offers a recycle program where you get store credit for your iphone 5. And in the past I had no problem selling my old iphones upon upgrading.

Not sure how Samsung fares with that.

There is no Android faithful - running Android is like being agnostic - the brand doesn't actually matter

Just got the 6 and I love it. All I've had since I got it is hate from the Android crew haha.

I've always stuck with apple since the first Iphone (I guess that makes me a fanboy haha) and its mainly because I am so used to their OS. People are right in saying they don't change up much, but that's what I like. I don't like having to learn how to navigate a new phone every time I upgrade.

The whole bendgate has been blown way out of proportion, only 14 or so cases of the phone bending out of 11 million sales.

There have been stress tests done on all recent smart phones and the Iphone 6 bent at 80 pounds of pressure, the equivalent of trying to snap 4 pencils at once.

People need to remember its a phone, it will break if you put it under too much stress, the times of being able to hammer nails in to wood with your Nokia 3210 are long gone

    Positives:
    Much better battery life
The front and back camera are much improved
Screen resolution might not be the best on paper, but when you see it in real life it looks superb
The speed of the thing is frightening
Resale Value on Apple Products - I just got Ģ200 for my Iphone 5 which was 2 years old.

    Negatives
Screen Size - I couldn't handle the Iphone 6 Plus, the 6 feels weird enough as it is. I'd agree the 5 did feel a lot more comfortable in my hand.

It's just a matter of time before somebody opens up an iChurch, somewhere in California, for all the Apple fanatics.

I've never been an apple person. I went from my Nokia E73 (or whatever it was with the qwerty keyboard) to an htc incredible and now an HTC One.

The pros of an android OS are that you don't have to plug it into anything to update. It can update on it's own. You can transfer data directly from an old phone (even an iphone) without having to back the data up to a cloud or plug the computer in anywhere. Once you have an android phone and get a new one, all you have to do is sign into your google account on the new phone and it downloads everything including phone settings so you don't have to do any stuffing around. I also like the open source and the use of NFC tags comes in handy sometimes, although I see Apple has finally jumped on this bangwagon.

Another thing I love about the HTC specifically which I believe is also on other android devices - the back button. Sounds weird, but if you had one you'd understand.

In terms of Android OS, I did try the samsung before I bought an android phone and i thought the version of android on the phone was not very "nice" to use. The version on the HTC is far better IMO.

The battery life on the HTC One is fantastic. I can use the phone the whole day and get home and still have 50% battery left. The phone seems also unbreakable. I have dropped it so many times on concrete and not a scratch on it. I don't have any covers or cases on the phone. It is stock standard and hard as a rock. It fits nicely in my hand too and has the huge screen which goes to the edge.

It was only a matter of time until apple did something to compete with the other phones. I just wonder if the new iphones are just the same in new packaging like every other phone they have pushed out?

Had an iPhone 3gs, 4 and 5, but doubt I will get this.

Fed up of the shocking battery life on the phone that comes in to play after around a year's ownership and the latest iOS upgrades. I'll get on the bus to work in the morning, listen to some music and use Whatsapp and a third of the battery is gone . Plus, I resent the fact that they have put U2 in my iTunes.

I would really like to get one. Especially the plus but I donīt want to invest such a high amount only for a phone. Currently I have an Iphone 4 and it still works As soon as it is not working anymore then I will have to buy the 6plus.
