OK I'm done revising this thing. its up to almost 100 pages now and its gonna sink or swim. This one is USA players only casinos. My next ulcer will be the UK European site. 150 pages and its about 1/2 done. Anyway...................................

Announcing the third (and final) addition of www.bestcasinoonlinenow.com
I SEO'd the thing to death and now I'm gonna get punch drunk on back links for two weeks.

There are a few tweaks I have to fix but take a look and let me know what you think gang especially thepokerkeep I always appreciate your input

Your link needs editing - at the moment it goes to http://www.bestcasinoonlinenow.com=d>;/

yeah, I also into that, but I think it is because of the smiley inserted just right after the link.

Anyways, I've successfully viewed your site after removing those additional characters at the end and was presented with a site with a lot of contents. No offense though as it looks tedious when the contents shadowed your minimalistic site design. Perhaps you need a time out on contents creation and give some time to thinking about redesigning the appeal of the site. I mean, savvy readers wouldn't really care about them, but making the details presented around a good design is even better and can possibly grab some new readers in.

Let me take for example the section header background. It appears to be with rounded corners on top, but the same color behind mess it to look like a perfectly gradient rectangle yet distorted with some unnecessary outline.

    Hi jctroy440,

I took a look at the site, and I have a couple of comments that I hope will be useful.

The first thing is, the content shouts, I think the font is too big and too bold. While it is good to explain what your site is about, content needs to be constantly updated, so I would use less content about who and what you are and rather offer news, xml feeds, and current information on the site.

If you make the font smaller, the featured casinos will move up the page, and you will have room for more than 3. If you use the category "Featured casinos of the month" you will need to be sure that you are updating this each month. If you won't be able to keep up with changing every month, you might consider renaming the category to something like top casinos or top picks, etc.

You've repeated the casino list on both the right and left side. I would suggest that you put Gambling info in place of one of them.

You might consider adding flags and branching out to Canadian, Australian and other traffic. I might also suggest you add progressive jackpots, these are very popular.

Sorry if this was a little long, but I hope it was constructive.

    Cheers,
    Shelley

Why has no one checked this guys coding and giving him some pointer before this.

I understand your a noobie but if you intend on making a business out of this game, go get yourself a decent coding program such as Dreamweaver. You also need a basic understanding of HTML and CSS.

Seriously using wysiwygwebbuilder.com is fine for personal pages ect...ect but it throws a lot of crap coding into your pages, which your basically shooting yourself in the foot before you start.

    For example:
Your home page is using CSS for layout (great) but it's all screwed up.

EG - You declare the div#container and then close it but opens up another style deceleration with the Body. Which btw the Body always starts first.

This type of bizarre CSS coding continues throughout your head. But worse it's interrupted with javascript coding, then continues back to CSS.

At line 183 your body tag begins.
However it's not until line 295 that you use a H1 tag.
This tag needs to be as close the the opening body tag as possible. It's one of the most important parts of your coding - it's a heading which should indicate what your over-all site page is about.

Over and above this and back to CSS again.
Every div id used in your code body including your img tags are using extra style references, why?

Easy question because your using wysiwygwebbuilder.com

Honestly these programs throw in so much extra crap code that your pages end up bloated and full of coding errors. Worse it because of the way most of these programs add code, it dilutes your content to point where SE bots have migraines crawling your page - believe me you don't want that!

Reiterating, I understand your new at this game, but seriously you need to get your pages and coding streamlined before worrying about off site linking ect...ect.

In addition...You've used font type that most people will not have.
    EG - face="Rockwell"

If I was you I'd be buying myself HTML for Dummies and CSS for Dummies. Both a very good books that give you an easy to understand idea as to how to set-up a web page. Least one that's not full of useless bloated code.

Once you have your page operating properly and as much of the bloated coding removed, then you should resume your off site linking strategies...ect...ect.

I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but I don't see the point in pissing in anyone's pocket.
Your obviously dedicated to making a go of this and I hope you make it.

Reiterating again using a WYSIWYG program that adds all this bloated coding is not doing you any favours.

    Cheers

    Default Thanks Aussie

I have a copy of Dreamweaver and am in the process of learning how to use it. The only thing I had to start with at the time was WYSIWYG so for the moment I'm stuck with it.

I have had several people tell me that the program was "bloated" but being new I had no idea what that meant and they never bothered to further explain what they meant. Your explanation has helped to clear some of that up.

I am committed to this business and want to make it work as quickly as practical so any and all suggestions and constructive criticism are always welcome.

I'll check Amazon for the books. I know virtually nothing about coding, that's why I bought the drag and drop program to start with.

Thanks again and keep the comments coming

    Hi Jimmy,

You're very committed, it's a credit to you.

I didn't want to come across as being an ass but I also don't see the point in not telling people what will help them and what IMHO needs urgent attention.

I'm sure once you get those books I mentioned, you'll be able to use those in combination with Dreamweaver. At least to a point of seeing the coding layout and making sure everything is as it should be.

    Cheers

    Dave
