I'm so excited!

Just had to share with everyone... this morning I bought tickets to see the midnight viewing of New Moon following a re-run of Twilight. Helene and I will be going together as it seems we are both hooked now, so you can expect some sleepy responses to posts on the 19th of November

Anyway, I'm super excited... Is anyone else going to be seeing the midnight screening if there is one in your area?

What is it with vampires right now? every screen you look at has a drama with a vampire angle.

I just don't get this Twilight thang - why are women going bandy for it?

My other half is going on the first day as well, i am waiting fo the DVD, have to draw the line somewhere

Have you seen how well they promote the said film from the first episode to the latest one. Not just the acting makes its good, its the special effect that makes the film as if its real.

I'll probably see it in the theater, but not on the first day like I did with the Star Trek movie.

I already read all 4 books. It's fun stuff. Everyone is in high school so it's not deep reading. LOL Book four was rather bizarre...

No spoilers.

I'm more into Anne Rice but I'll definately watch all the Twilight movies. Have fun Renee and Helene!

I think it's that Edward (the main guy in the movie) is what every girl wants. The way that he is described in the books (and the way he looks in the movie) is basically one of those guys that "you want but could never get" type thing. And I think all a girl really wants is to be loved when she is 15 years old... (well, I would say that continues for years, but I won't admit to anything!)

Perfect in looks
Personality
The way he loves her (I think this is the main reason the girls are sick for it)

And he is supposed to be the bad boy.

Stephanie Meyer has a brilliant way of describing things in her books... I just finished reading "The Host" a couple of weeks ago (which is also getting made into a movie BTW) and it too was amazing in the way she described things. I can't wait until the movie is finished. I just hope she keeps writing more books.

The only complaint I have is that there wasn't more sex in the Twilight Saga and I wish she had described it in more detail of the sex that there was. Of the describing of the intensity of the passion between them without any touching etc, it was actually just disappointing not to read about the end result. I imagine it would have been amazing.

Now, Jacob... well.. he is another story. I can't wait to see his muscles in New Moon. He is definitely one hottie...

They are all far too young for me though so I'll go back to my dreams

Stephanie Meyer also started writing Twilight from Edward's point of view (called Midnight Sun) which I have read the part that leaked and it is even better than Twilight. He thinks about things way more than she does and describes things in much more detail. It's almost as though he is the woman in the relationship. A must read if you haven't already.

She stopped writing it because it leaked. I really hope she decides to finish it one day.

I also think if you watched the movie (Twilight) before reading the book you would have enjoyed the book more, firstly because you would be able to imagine the characters as you're reading, and secondly because the books are so much better than the movie (more detail and more relevant scenes to make the whole picture make sense) so I think if it was the other way around it would have been pretty disappointing to see the movie after having read the book first.

I'm hoping that I wont be disappointed by New Moon having read the book first.

PS - I watched Twilight again last night for the 5th time.. Can never get sick of it.

Interview with a vampire is one of my favourite movies... very well made.

Dont do anything for me regards realing in. I thought that the film Lesbian Vampire Killers may have had an effect on me but never.

And when it comes to Vamp films then 2 stand head and shoulders above the rest.

They are of course the cult classics The Lost Boys and From Dusk Till Dawn.

Well I spent 2 hours of my life last night looking at all the trailers and any interviews with R Patts.

Ha ha that's fantastic!! I think most of my friends and I are also suffering from that at the moment too! I love it though
