Are the media acting too exaggerated to this issue? It's a relief that people there in japan aren't worried, although they still need our prayers.

Not only should Japan be worried about nuclear fallout, but many other "neighboring" countries should be worried. Radiation poisoning could ripple to farmlands (and food), in a worst case scenario. Be worried !

I don't know even know what will it be, but already all ocean products in China are banned for consuming, and that's true. Radiation is radiation.

I just don't get it... The USS Ronald Reagan is sailing further out to sea to aviod radiation from Japan, several countries are in civil disarray, people are falling off the 99 weeks of unemployment, glad the POTUS can ignore all that long enough to make his picks for a basketball game!

This. I won't waffle on about why I think the coverage is scaremongering, as I don't like to argue from authority as it seems to much like arrogance, but overblowing things that aren't problems becomes a problem in itself when something truly worrying does happen (as in the boy who cried wolf parable).
