Announcement regarding the Board

As you may or may not know, the board was down from Friday morning, Jan. 2, until just tonight, Tues. Jan. 6. The prior host, xxwww.MaxxxHosting.com , moved the site to a new server and permanently lost some scripts and data during the move, causing the downtime. They also were apparently incapable of even getting me back in the server to get anything from it, so we've rebuilt from a backup I had from Dec. 17.

It's now been moved to a new host, www.ProHosters.com , who went way above and beyond the call of duty helping me get this back up. I would HIGHLY recommend this company!! They've been on the phone with me several times, and a few hours on live support, helping me get this back up tonight.

HOWEVER, information and registrations between Dec 17 - Jan 2 have been permanently lost. If you registered and/or applied for membership during this time period, please re-register and/or re-send your application to me at join@gpwa.org (actually, that email addy won't work until tomorrow).

Email to any GPWA addy's may or may not have gotten thru, so if you don't get a response, please re-send tomorrow, Wed. Jan 7th.

Any new admissions may have to be re-set - just post your username here, and I'll get you set up.

Please bear with us as we put the pieces back together here - it won't take too long.

I am constantly amazed that so many hosting companies are incapable of undertaking basic maintenance of servers. I lost a lot of traffic and script settings when a host decided to move my site onto a new server without giving me any advance notice.

Glad to see that GPWA is back - seems faster as well
