I've use WP only but have been thinking seriously checking out Drupal.
I tried Joomla 4-5 years ago, and gave up on it.
WordPress is used by over 18.9% of the top 10 million websites as of August 2013... if you believe WikiPedia.

Joomla or WP = site or blog.
I'm using Joomla myself, but often find it more convenient to develop a site from scratch in PHP. But that's me. Joe average has exactly one shot of developing a professional-looking website with no programming knowledge, and that's Joomla. Just don't try to change the template too much otherwise you'll start going around in circles.
Joomla or WP, don't use too many plugins, don't leave them installed if you don't use them, and make sure they're updated. They're a security risk. Some guy makes a cute little plugin but suddenly your website is vulnerable to hacks because of poorly written code.

Wordpress all the way for me, I originally went down the Joomla path, but everything is more difficult in Joomla, less plugins, less support, more glitchy little annoying bugs. It was a big decision for me to give up on Joomla after 4 years of doing it, but since I've gone to Wordpress I haven't regretted it for one moment.
