Hi guys,

Just thought I'd drop by and introduce myself.

I'm Carl, and I'm based In Birmingham UK.

These past 9 months I have been self studying Seo, Ppc, social media and content marketing.

I run my own local freelance marketing site and I have a few local clients under my belt.

But I'm looking to steer away from client seo and start my own affiliate sites.

I'd like to be brought up to speed and I'd love your guys help and resources on where to start.

What's a good list of WordPress themes for me to look at?

Could you point me in the right direction towards a few good writers?

And I have a betting tips EMD that gets 3,800 searches a month. I'm not sure where to use it as google may slap the **** outta me for over optimisation if I over use the keyword.

What's your thoughts?

And finally. As I'll be marketing towards the UK.

What betting affiliate sites do you recommend?

Be sure to browse the Unethical Behavoir section for tips on groups that have less then stellar reputations.

Are there any plugins I can use?

EMD with 3800 searches per month is very little.. A word of advice.. forget just that one golden keyword.. if you are looking for tons of traffic then a EMD is not going to cut it.. you need to concentrate on what people want if it's accumulators then daily articles on up coming bets is much more worthy than one page with a plugin... which you could always set as a separate page and divert traffic too

Yeah I understand. I wontbreally be using it. I just wanted dome input in EMDs.

I'm more than likely going to go with a brandable domain. So I can spread the link diversity.

I'll create pages targeting keywords and like you said create daily articles, betting tips etc.

I have been doing/studying Seo for a year now and I have my own freelance site and have 4 clients.

But I'm new to the while affiliate side of things.

I mean I earn a little from seo tools.

But the sport side of things is new. I did play poker online for a good number of years. But that was around 5 years ago.

I now have a family and playing for 8 plus hours a day wouldn't be a good idea.

Thanks for the input. I've been scanning the forum and there's a lot to take in.. So I'll be floating around and probably posting a lot.

In terms of programmes, essentials for me - Bet365/Betfair/Coral/Ladbrokes/Unibet/Winner (Seems to have sorted stuff out now).

As the majority of traffic is UK as your UK based and I assume you will be tipping mainly UK events, master Twitter and Social presence.

Yeah, I've had a look around. Some good themes. I'm really looking for some plug in to add accumulator odds etc.

I love twitter and have a failrly big following due to being highly involved with seo and marketing.

Maybe start another account based on football and poker and gain new followers.

Not to put you off but there are so many people doing football tips/accas etc that it's going to be very competitive. These players are also notoriously hard to convert and the player value is generally very low.

But due to having a family. I can't afford to play for 8 hours a day.

I did think about a poker/staking site.

At the moment, I run a site selling domains with DA & PA and I sell links but as I'm new I don't want to spam the forum.

But all in all I want to do that along with an affiliate site.

I have been looking around and like you said. Competition is huge!

They said it's competitive for me also but my website was earning 4 figures after 6 months. Just build the site find the traffic and the rest will be history. It's a very simple formulae, just too many choose to over complicate it.

Yeah definitely mate, think outside the box, keep your football horse betting tips etc but then reach out to other areas, I've recently introduced American sports betting for UK punters eg betting on NFL and NBA and it attracts a lot of people.
