    Default Just starting....

    Hi guys,

I'm looking to move into the casino affiliate industry however I think I may be missing something, is there any way of starting an affiliate business without having the "Review everything" approach? and is it possible to make it a success without going after rankings? I know content is key but it's a little daunting trying to figure out where to go with it.

What possible benefit could I offer to a slots players for example? a review, there is free play?

I think there are lots of niches to exploit within for example that don't need a "review" approach for example focus on mobile, a specific software, a specific game, big winners, bonuses, community driven content, bit coin casinos, etc. etc.

What is it that puts you off the review approach? That you don't want to do it or you don't think you could write the content?

In a market where competition is fierce (of course, because of the money involved) if you go for the 'do it with rankings' approach then you'd need to focus on building a worthwhile site, with the target of ultimately covering every aspect of the subject you're covering. You might get lucky by not doing this, of course, but it would be either by luck or grey/black hat trickery, or very very clever white hat.

So can you do it without 'reviews'?. Yes, if your subject area doesn't need 'reviews' to cover it in depth and give a searcher/visitor what they want to see.

Is it possible to be successful without rankings? Yes, if you find the right offer or the right subject that people want...and know (or can learn + have the budget to do it) how to work paid advertising and put that offer in front of people at a lower overall cost to you than the profit you make..

And there will be people making paid advertising work (probably big time)...but they are almost certainly never going to spill the beans on exactly how they're doing it. You will need to work it out yourself. (and I personally don't know, I just heavily suspect that anyone that does is going to keep pocketing their $1000 a day + for as long as possible...and good luck to them for working it out!)

You are probably missing a lot ... after 14 years doing this I am still missing a lot of details ..
Dont worry about that too much - just be ready to learn something new every month that you're in the business.

I'm not sure what "rankings" you are talking about ... but the key to all successful internet sales is usually getting a good stream of quality readers to your site and having a site that is persuasive enough to create action impulses from those readers.

So you need good content that creates a desire for signing up and depositing and playing ...
And you need enough reader numbers to make that process repeat 10, 20, 50, 100 times a month.

How do you make a success of it?
    - You'll need drive and a passion for your chosen area
    - Find busy sites to use as an example of something that (probably) works.
    - Find other sites that have content styles that personally work and interest you ...

Mix and match the styles to create a site that YOU like and that YOU think would have helped you to join up and play online safely, and securely ... and you will be a long way towards creating your own successful site.

    I hope that helps.

    What might slots players want?

Depends on whether they're experienced slots players or not.

Experienced might want - free games, free games of new titles released, news and reviews of new slots released, where can I play these new slots, to understand about different software, if there are good new bonus deals, who offers the best current slots bonuses etc etc etc

Inexperienced might want - some of above, but before that....can I win money on slots, are they fixed, is it legal, who has the best, what different types of slots are there, etc etc etc

Of course there are already sites that deliver this info. You have to work out - Can you do it better, or at least equally as well? If you can't, can you still get eyeballs on your site and deliver info that will encourage someone to deposit or give you their email?

Alternatively ( and this could prove to be the most lucrative) can you deliver info on slots that no one else does, or in a unique way that might solve a searchers problem? (of course, they might not actually realise they had a problem, until you point it out/show them how to solve it)

Summary - there is a lot you could potentially offer slots players, as an example.

I think there are a lot of things you can offer in a review. And be willing to change and do what is needed. Explore all avenues. Good luck!

Don't try to make a site that does all things for all people and don't beat yourself up over what you don't know - Focus on what you doknow and engage with opportunities to learn the things that you don't.

Consider finding a niche, especially if it is one that others have overlooked, maybe Marvel and Superhero themed slots, maybe roulette games that work on android mobile devices - and build your site around that idea.

For example, if I was starting a new sports-betting affiliate site from scratch I wouldn't set out with a sports-news site covering all major leagues. There's so much competition that already does it very very well. Instead, I would build a site all around Asian Handicap bets and First Goal scorer bets in the English Championship.

Thanks for the advice guys, there is really some good information here. I did visit some sites on this forum to get an idea of what people are doing, not to replicate it just to get a different perspective on this alien industry. I've sat down and wrote down a plan of how I'm going to approach this industry differently, I've started the site and hopefully when it's finished I'll drop it in the site review for your feedback.
