Keep alive feature

Hey,

the keep alive feature on my VPS is disabled. When i asked to activate it they replied that they can but do not recommend as it might generate issues.

i assume there is a way i can do it correctly, just not sure how. maybe specific timeout time or improving the server?

is it important?

use cloudflare and their keep alive feature, but a good host should rarely if ever go down, can't remember the last time i had any downtime

i prefer somehow not to use cloudflare on that site.

yes, i thought so too, but kind of worried going against their recommendation. it's Vidahost VPS.
