MA tracking is broken generally.
If you talk to God, you are praying; If God talks to you, you have schizophrenia.
This has caught my eye. What level of tracking is broken and not working?
Everything. Randomly. Browser by browser. Or time to time.
Affiliate systems are too heavy. For example the tracking is broken during heavy traffic. I just suspect it is that something time-outs if affiliate servers do not have capacity. So user gets landing page, but no credit to affiliate. MA is popular in USA, this is the issue during NFL week 1 for eample.
Nobody has incentive to solve this.

Yes, I've noticed this with Betsson, they use MyAffiliates software. I would say that 8 out of 10 registrations are not credited to my affiliate account. Reported this multiple times to multiple account managers, but never got it resolved. Never thought that Cloudflare could be causing the issue - I'll try to disable its caching and see if it helps. Does anyone have any other tips?
Edit: I just received this update, can it have any effect on the tracking issue?

8 out of 10 missing is not a joke. Is it a hunch? How were these metrics calculated?
Cloudflare did not give me an answer when I asked if Cache Everything also caches the unique browser session and basically shows the cached version of that session to every visitor. If that's the case, then all visits are tracked as a single IP/user; and you can't get multiple registrations from the same session/user.
I will email MyAffiliates and ask them this question. They're the ones that would know, but I highly doubt any one other than their sales guys read the email.

I have emailed MA and also linked to this thread. Hopefully someone would look into it.
Its approximate, but I've had 10 colleagues register through my affiliate link and only 2 were credited in my account. I reported this to affiliate managers, and they admitted that they saw the problem, but they left the company soon after, so this was never looked into any further.
On a side not betsson will rob you. You know that. Just that.

Yeah it sucks because at the same time BGA requires you to bring a certain amount of NDCs to keep your account active. I still hope its just a technical issue that gets resolved eventually (although its been more than 6 months since I first reported the problem).

It is a technical issue but not "just" and it will never get resolved. If it does, something worse will appear.
Guys, I just came to Europe, which is literally brain dead. And so is state of internet/development. Affiliate programs are worse and worse and with each fix it will just get only worse. It is like hoping in economic restart of Germany. Everyone will await it like in Japan for 30 years, but it will never happen. The affiliate tracking will be just worse. That is it. Nothing can be done. This is realism. Be happy that some tracking somewhere still works; count tracking errors as discount in conversion rate and that is it. There is no incentive to fix this, because the operators have vendor lock in. They are also happy to get free signups and cull us for not delivering. Also in AM work stupidier and stupidier people who do not see the horror. They take their money with minimal effort and go home just like everyone else.
*But Japan is exceptional. They might not grow, but until China nukes them, the life there is comfortable.

Hey everyone,
Surprise! MyAffiliates is here, and we’re actively monitoring forums to keep communication open and transparent about how our tracking works.
We noticed a few concerns raised here, including:
1. Tracking not working
2. Tracking breaking during high-traffic periods
3. Registrations not being assigned to affiliate accounts
4. Cloudflare caching affecting tracking
To begin, we want to emphasize that as one of the most widely used affiliate tracking solutions on the market, tracking is at the very core of our product, and we take immense pride in the quality of service we deliver. Here’s a bit more detail on each point raised:
1. Tracking Doesn’t Work
To the person who mentioned that tracking doesn’t work, we’d love to understand more about your specific issue. Could you let us know exactly what isn’t working—whether it’s views, clicks, registrations, or another parameter? If you could share the tracking link(s) and the specific pages where they’re implemented, it would greatly help us troubleshoot and address your concerns.
2. Tracking Issues During Heavy Traffic
For those who mentioned tracking issues during heavy traffic: broad statements like this can be tricky to address without specific examples. However, to provide transparency, certain high-load scenarios—like when affiliates employ pop-unders or similar techniques—can sometimes place significant demand on our servers. In such cases, we have measures to ensure that tokens are still expedited to the operator, ensuring that player activity is tracked without overwhelming the system.
3. Registrations Not Assigned to Affiliate Accounts
If you’re seeing issues with registrations not credited to your account, please remember that MyAffiliates’ role is to track the view, click, and direct the visitor to the operator's page. It’s the operator’s responsibility to capture the generated token and send it back within the registration files. When testing tracking links, ensure the uniqueness of the link and take note of operator rules on cookie attribution.
4. Cloudflare Caching
The Cloudflare "cache everything" setting only affects content on your own site, not outbound links leading visitors away from your site. This isn’t specific to MyAffiliates—it’s true for any third-party service.
We hope this helps clarify things! Please feel free to reach out with any specifics or additional questions; we’re always here to support.
Best regards,
The MyAffiliates Team

Welcome MyAffiliates.
Feature request.
Allow the affiliates to change whether, upon login, we are presented with today's stats or current month's stats in the initial login dashboard.
The recent change being forced to today is not what a lot of affiliates want. Whether this is based on a cookie being set or maybe in the account settings, I think would be fine for all of us, but this would be helpful for many affiliates.

Thanks for clarifying.
This can potentially be the most useful poster of the forum, if you are not just saying some marketing bs.
My problem is that I devoted my time and people to in depth analysis what was going on. Since no progress came and the only helpful AM from Bovada, who was pushing their devs, already left; I somehow lost my will to progress in affiliate marketing further. I am delivering my few players, keeping my affiliate programs alive and doing some other projects.
Yes, majority of my problems (and therefore problems of all affiliates) occurred during high traffic. I do not believe we are getting the credit and I think the situation is worse and worse. But for such accusations, to be fair, I should bring some hard data. And I have no time for it and moreover I do not want to discuss this in public. I am learning about construction and doing a lot of logistic and I simply have no capacity to be helpful in short or mid term.
However @MyAffiliates, I would be really happy if you can tell me how the tracking technically is done. Because I do not think even AMs know it.
Are you using only cookies? Or HTML storage? (at least at Revenuenetwork yes... but then why there are so many affiliate-related cookies at RN as well, if HTML storage is used). Or other way of tracking is being used? Or combinations?
How are apps tracked?
I as affiliate do not want just to do mystery shopping. I simply want to see in browser whether the tracker is set. In the good old times it was just one cookie, one tag, one tracker. Everything matched, so it was easy. Now it looks much more complex.

Hi Sherlock,
Thanks for your query about how MyAffiliates tracks player referrals.
Where you have a tracking URL such as record(dot)acmeaffiliates(dot)com/_0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef/1/. The 32 character string in this URL is the tracking token which contains key information for tracking the referrals.
When you open the tracking URL, you will be redirected to the operators landing page, such as www(dot)acmegaming(dot)com/landing-page. You will typically see the tracking token included in the URL for the landing page. The token will have changed from the original URL because it will have been populated with a little extra detail that allows us to relate a new customer record back to the specific click.
In this example, record(dot)acmeaffiliates(dot)com is controlled by MyAffiliates whilst www(dot)acmegaming(dot)com is controlled the operator. The operator is responsible for preserving the tracking token from URL -- they would typically use a cookie but the strategy is their choice.
Where a visitor completes the player registration form on the operators site, the operator is responsible for recording the token with the player record. The operator will then send this player record to MyAffiliates. MyAffiliates decodes the tracking token, to determine which affiliate to map the customer to.
There is very little that can go wrong on the MyAffiliates side -- where it successfully redirects the visitor to the landing page, its job is done. Periods of high traffic have no significant impact on our ability to redirect a visitor to the landing page.
In regards to App Tracking, this is functionality we facilitate but do not perform ourselves. The operator will use a service of their choosing to perform this task, and they typically work by performing a background call to the MyAffiliates tracking URL which seeds the cookies on the operators landing page.
I hope this makes it clear. Let us know if you have any more questions.
@universal4
Regarding your request, do you mean that you would like that, once you select the period that is shown, it is automatically selected every time you log in?
Currently, there is a dropdown where you can easily change the time period to This month.
Best regards,
The MyAffiliates Team.

You can customize everything on Cloudflare
My question.
Is the operator able to detag or remove an active player from the account, while still showing it as a client (with the same ID) in the system?
Say, a client keeps making deposits, playing, losing and winning, but his activity shows as Nil or Zero for the affiliate who brought him to the betting site?
I'm not even sure you can answer this question in the Yes, if it were true.

Regarding BGA closure of affiliate account.
Unfortunately, that happened to us. So, I don't understand that rule either. In my view, BGA doesn't want to pay partners for old customers (if you don't fix the new numbers of customers required). So, for our part, something happened with the BGA tracking when they left the UK...
