Default LAC and ICE Postponed To Feb 2022

As expected the June/July dates for the 2021 LAC and ICE (or iGB Affiliate London as we are supposed to call it) have been postponed. Next London conference is now Feb 2022. They are still planning Amsterdam for late September:

Regrettably, we have made the decision to postpone iGB Affiliate London until February 2022. This also includes our co-located ICE London event. [COLOR=#606060 !important]
The new proposed dates are 2 – 5 February for iGB Affiliate London at Excel, London (ICE London is 1 – 3 February 2022).

Registration will be available later on in the year.

Planning for iGB Affiliate / iGB Live! Amsterdam 2021

Until London in 2022, we remain entirely focused on delivering iGB Live! at the RAI Amsterdam which is scheduled to take place 28 September-1 October 2021. With additional recovery time, we remain cautiously optimistic that this event will be in a position to see a return to in-person events. We have also taken the opportunity to open iGB Live! up to new gaming sectors, attracting a greater volume of buyers and sellers from across the gaming industry – more details to follow.

Thank you and I hope to see you in Amsterdam in September.

Just saw the Facebook posting announcing this. Not surprised and good choice. Not sure if others this year will go ahead. It is not just the restrictions in the country where the events are being held it is also the restrictions required upon return to home country.

Even it if did, would you want to go stand in a hall of hundreds of people from all around the world right now?!?

As long as its safe I don't see why not, the UK has given first vaccines to over 15% of the population so far, by April the it should be well over 50%.

Also I am reading Malta is currently the second highest number of Vaccinations per 100,000 people so they would be on course to have a high percentage of people safe by April too.

I am guessing as long people who attend could get a covid test on arrival them I am all for it.

It's still possible to get and spread covid even after being vaccinated.

I'd weigh up the risk nearer the time.

A few days away from the wife and child vs the risk of catching COVID. Its a tough choice. I dont think they can go ahead whilst numbers are still so high.

I agree they can't go ahead with numbers the way they are now. However numbers are slower going down so hopefully in 10 weeks they will be down significantly.

With the kind of numbers dont know if its safe to have it or anyone would risk to go. The numbers are going down and looks like after sometime it will be like any other flu and people will start living with it.

Good choice to postpone it. I guess attendance wouldn't be so high anyway. Given that most of the gaming companies continue to work remotely it wouldn't be wise to send their staff to such conference and risk their wellbeing.
On the other hand, Amsterdam conference in September seems pretty likely given that many people are getting vaccinated so fingers xxxx
