Launched a new site this week! What do you think?

Hi there,

Its been I think a few years already since I posted a new site on GPWA but this week i've launched my new site!
It's called Slot-Games.net. I have already received some valuable feedback from other affiliates at AGD, but I am also interested in your opinion.

Most of the feedback was about the background. I've designed the background to complement the 'slot game excitement' and to feed the cravings of the visitors Do yo think it's too busy?

There are still many thinks on my to-do list. I need to add casino reviews, and I need to develop a mobile friendly version of the website.

Hi Coen,

I think the background is okay for this website. The texts are in separate blocks with a gray background so they are easy to read. But in the right sidebar at the bottom you have some text (casinos listed...) that has no background. I would give this a background, it is hard to read now.

Small thing I would change, the "Newest slot games" at the homepage should have a bit more padding. All the other blocks have.

It is a nice website with a good layout. It needs some more content but you already said you will add that.

Thanks for your feedback, appreciate it! Glad you liked the background I gave the "casinos listed" field a transparent background because it gives a nice visual effect when you scroll down and you see the numbers increasing while it 'floats' above the background. But maybe I need to give it a background, have to think about it

I have slightly increased the padding for 'newest slot games', they were all the same but I think the elements below gave the impression the padding was smaller.

I used Wordpress. I however heavily customized my theme to make it look like this.

Hi Feelthenoize,

Yes I do recommend using Wordpress.org (not the free .com version). If you are looking for a good template, I'll always go to Themeforest because they have great developers, and themes cost about $49 dollars each.

I also do highly recommend Thesis (DIYthemes.com). However it's a bit more complex and you need to add every element yourself, but that will make your website one-of-a-kind and gives it a solid fundament to further develop your website.

I try to only list casinos that have a good reputation, for both the player and the affiliate. I do notice many big affiliate sites do promote roguish casinos, and in all honesty does make me doubt sometimes (in terms of potential earnings).
