Default Link Value - How can this be possible?

I was trying to find out the link value of my site and used the tool:
    http://www.linkvendor.com/seo-tools/linkvalue.html

    I got the answer:
The highest Linkvalue of this site is: $3.50

So I wanted to find the link values of gpwa.org and apcw. In both cases the answer was the same: $3.50

How is this possible? These are PR5 and PR4 sites. Is the tool a BS or do I misunderstand the meaning of Link Value?

I think all those tools are pretty much bs. Same goes with those tools that tell you how much your website is worth.

    Totally unreliable....

Link value of Gambling.com is also $3.50 so whatever algo they are using to do the check is plain BS and appears just to be tied into keywords and has nothing to do with actual link value.

<lol> - " I want to trade links with your site. This tool indicates the link is worth $3.50. I'll pay you $5."

Honestly, I do wonder what the value of a link. Calculating ROI on links is difficult if not impossible as ther are so many factors and influences before the actual sale.

I have found one interesting article called Link Value Factors Explained It contains opinions of 17 SEO and Link Building professionals.

Good article.....and one I will want to read again.....

But like anything SEO, now everyone agrees, but reading the differing views does help one make up their own mind about things....

One thing I will say though is that you should try and remember that when you read this keep an open mind and do not read the points only to tell yourself, well "so and so" agrees with my point about this or that...keep an open mind about all the points.....

I've never trusted those tools.. I think they are just put up for free traffic...

try using something like KeywordSpy where they calculate your SEO value and SEO traffic value

there's more substance in an indicator like that than "link value", which I believe is just some derivative of the aforementioned

The answer is, it is just a tool and can never be compared to how human would equate a link value. It might also help you understand deeper how much link weight you are giving per outbound link on your site with linkdiagnosis.com. Their free assessment is enough to identify how much linkable your site is.

It seems like this tool doesn't like Gaming websites. I have tried a couple of my other sites and god ok values of +100$

Sounds good than the OP's sites value.

Additionally, if you are curious if your domain is already having a good price, there are "domain price checker" online that you could use. One sample is the dnscoop.

All tools for this kind of thing are useless, there is no automatic way to check, it is based on the industry and people's opinions...

the only good use of this kind of tools that some of them give you a backlink if you use it on your site, that's the only value you can get out of it.

Be careful. It is possible that they will silently remove the backlink after a while!

The tool doesn't even work for me. It keeps prompting me for a new capture. I wouldn't put a lot of stock in such a crappy tool.
