Default blocked resources in search console

    Hi -

I just noticed in search console i have many many pages with blocked resources. It turns out its something from Hotjar that I dont' use anymore.

Would that negatively affect my rankings? Its on every page - I'll remove it now. Just wondering if it would have any affect.

    thanks,
    Mark

I would be interested in the answer too as I have opensharecount showing which I know is the social sharing element of the website. I have switched it off so expect it to clear itself but not sure how Google sees this.

In general it depends, if the blocked resources are integral parts of your pages, it will affect your rankings, but if it's a tool or something additional then you're most likely fine.

You would generally want the Googlebot to be able to crawl almost everything to be able to "see" the pages as a user would do.
If you're not sure about the blocked files, what they do, you can Fetch as Google the mentioned URLs with the option Fetch and Render to see how Googlebot renders your pages.

This report is giving you the information about what Googlebot has access to, if the blocked files are not important in rendering the pages and their contents, you can ignore them.
