Locking members out?

I received a automated notice that a new reply to our private forum had been made.

When I clicked the link, I was unable to access the forum. Instead, a message, " Sorry, but only users granted special access can read topics in this forum. " was displayed.

Why are members being blocked out? I would like some clarification on this.

I am posting in this forum since it seems to be the only one available.

An email was sent out to ALL members a few weeks back about this,
you had to reply by a certain date.

Maybe one of the security team members will help you out on this.

I received an email some time ago that hackers were trying to get into the database (?) .. something to that effect, and was requested to change my password which I did.

Do you have more info regarding other emails? You're also welcome to reply to me directly if there is something I missed.

I think the security people are busy chasing down people who cut and paste information from the private forums. If I see one though I will let them know you're out here.

thanks. I sent an email to Cindy this morning as well so I expect I will hear from somebody. If I don't within 24 hours, then take me off the membership.

I don't like communiques being sent out using 'the membership' when members are not present.
