In my opinion, the actual traffic doesn’t matter to me that much. In my opinion, it’s more important where this traffic comes from.

When I’ve previously purchased a site from the affiliate niche, the first lesson I learned is how quickly good traffic becomes nothing after an algorithm change or affiliate deals become void. When buying an affiliate property, I would consider the following:

1. 12 months of GSC + GA4 data, not screenshots from the last 30 days;
2. traffic split by landing page and GEO: 100K visitors to the website from Tier-3 countries may have much lower value than 10K commercial visitors from Tier-1 country;
3. FTD data, if available from the seller – the most valuable metrics here are EPC and conversion rate from click and then registration then FTD;
4. **Revenue concentration**: 70–80% of the revenue from one operator would be a huge red flag to me;
5. Link profile and content history: Expired domains, AI/spun content, paid links, and niche change history;
6. Affiliate account ownership*: Make sure that the accounts and relationships with tracking systems can be handed over to you; otherwise, their loss will ruin the entire valuation.

The affiliate website should be valued based on verified net profit, not traffic. Personally, I would always choose a smaller site with steady FTDs and diversified operators over big website with all rankings and revenue coming from one keyword or affiliate program.
