Default Looking for tips on using google adwords

    Hi,

Has anyone got any advice on using adwords? I started using them a couple of weeks ago, and everything was going fine to begin with. I was having my ad placed on the first page, and getting a fair number of clicks at a good price. Then my ad moved onto the second or third page, less clicks at a higher CPC. Now I'm having some keywords disabled even when the CTR for the last 1000 impressions is at 0.9%.

It all just seems so random to me!

    Cheers,
    Joe

    change the wording and re-submit
play a bit until you have a good rate

For each keyword you can have more than one ad and the system will serve the ads randomly and select which ad has the highest click rate

    Hi,

I've created two new campaigns using a better ad line, and deleted the old two which had all decent keywords disabled anyway. Now I've got 0 impressions over everything and some of my keywords are 'at risk'. Even putting the maximum CPC at 30 I get a traffic estimate of <0.1 for all bar one keyword. Surely there's got to be something wrong with the system?

And it all started so well

I have found that for some keywords that if you bid too highly, they won't allow traffic as you are way overshooting what the current bids are.

Joe, if you put your ad in a new campaign then you should start getting the ads displaying again.
Once a keyword is disable in a campaign you either have to pay to get them to re-allow it after you have made inprovements to your ad or put the advert in a different campaign.

I found out that if AdWords disables a keyword or phrase and you start a new ad or campaign under the same account they will disable it again very quickly (they even told me this). What I did after months of battling with disabled choice keywords was to delete the whole campaign and have them delete the account. Then I started a fresh one by signing up again and really writing good copy and things got alot better.

Also it is important to remember that if you have more than one casino site even if it's on a different AdWord account they will only allow one of your ads to run at a time. For instance if you have bitchencasinos.com and one of your keywords is [online casino] and you are also advertising crunchycasinos.com with the same [online casino] keyword they will not run them at the same time. They will only run the one that has the higher amount of mula on the keyword or that is getting the most clicks. This of course only happens if their system picks up on the fact that you are connected to both casinos. In other words use a different credit card and your wifes name. Not sure if that works because I haven't tried it yet but I do know that I only run my top producing site on AdWords and all the others are just SEO.
