Default Mainstream site review (UK Gyms)

One of the members here (nudge nudge, wink wink) has just launched a non-igaming site, and I hear that they trust and value the opinions of y'all so wanted to get some honest feedback.

It is a search engine and user review site for.... *drumroll please* UK Gyms

Oh and if you do happen to be in the UK and fancy writing a review, there's going to be a monthly prize draw. This month is £50/£100 in amazon vouchers.

Great idea and great site! It will be even better once you get some reviews, I will ask my UK friends if they want to win some Amazon vouchers. A feature that I would like to see from a gym users pov is something to do with price without reading a review, perhaps a star rating, 1 star being very reasonable, 3 being very expensive, being able to view the gyms (in a certain area) in terms of expense would be ideal, ie cheapest first, most expensive last. From looking at your site, I think my suggestions would be difficult to implement, perhaps the easiest way to do it would be to allow users to review the gym out of 5 for cost/facilities/overall rating instead of just out of 5. Anyway, great site

When a user writes a review they actually have 4 criteria, one of which is "Value for money". Only the aggregate rating is shown on the review though, so maybe it should show them all.

Pricing data is something that I agree would be very useful, but getting it can be tricky - a lot of the big boys don't want to give that info out so you have to call them. Maybe a field where the reviewer could select a price range? Eg: less than £30, £30 - £50 etc...

Ok perfect as when you are viewing it, you can't tell that the user has rated on 4 criteria, perhaps if you just put the 5th criteria as price range. Showing all criterias would be the most useful but you don't want to mess up the clean feel of the site, perhaps just include price and overall as visible? You already have facilities covered in the description

Looked for my local area and it brought up every gym that I know of, easy to use and looks great - good work!

Got a busy morning but I'll pop back later and write a review based on the few times I have ever bothered to visit the gym

Such a simple and great idea. Good job on the website. Using the same script and different database they can expand it for a handful of things that people need, bookstores, libraries, restaurants, bustops, etc.. bookdar dot com, libdar dot com etc Pretty soon they can have a network of "..dar" websites.

Nice site! I have a client who owns a couple of gyms in London, I might be able to put some advertising your way once you have traffic.
Interested in quality, relevant link exchanges and deals, especially with UK sites.
