    Exclamation Mars Expedition

    Hi all,

Do you think we'll ever make it to the Red Planet some day?

I personally doubt it but please, let me know what your thoughts are.

    Thanks a lot in advance!

They are sending a rover in 2020 to Mars to check whether life is sustainable, with plans to send humans in the 2030s.

Oh I think we will get there someday. Maybe not in my lifetime but someday...

I don't think that we will send humans to Mars in my lifetime.

It's a long trip (250-270 days) and keeping people alive during the trip with food, water, air, heating is a huge task.
Then getting them back? Almost impossible to conceive doing it reliably with current technology.

I would have expected a functioning moon base first - to prove technologies - as it's only a 3 day trip.
But we don't seem to have the desire / ability to establish that - so Mars is a dream - or suicide.

(Unless aliens or future time-travellers pop in to help)

Interestingly there are people that are claiming that we have already been there? Randy Cramer, Corey Goode came up on a quick search.

I do not even think we went to the moon like everyone thinks we did. The technology wasn't available back then to even fend off the amount of radiation the astronauts would have had to endure. I think it was all done in hollywood. Google "Did we really go to the moon"

    Hi TravG,

We definitely went to the moon. There is no doubt about at all about that taking place.

Good on Elon Musk! He's really getting somewhere and fast with all of the work that he's doing regarding Space Exploration and he's only still in his forties.

As technology rapidly advances, the line between reality and science fiction is becoming more blurry. Maybe sometime in the very distant future, there will be inter-planetary airports. That would be something

As great as the Tesla Car is, it's not being sold at a profit, it's not growing as fast as he claimed, and is not selling well anywhere unless the state/governments offers large grants to consumers for EVs. Tesla needs continued share sales, government grants, and California state emissions credits, in order to break even with it's current car business.

Basically, Tesla is losing money on every car it builds, but a mixture of ECO-governments and Elon Musks ability to generate headlines and issue further stock is keeping the company afloat.

Let's be clear, I think that Elon Musk's ideas are revolutionary, his products are amazing, and his business model continues to defy the losses, but I'm not convinced that's going to get us rocket-ship commuters, a moon base or a Mars colony any time before 2050.

I may be wrong - he may be a looping time-traveller from the future, and knows exactly what tech path, business risks to take - but I reckon he's going to need to be something like that to avoid bankruptcy and complete crash in the next 3-5 years.

If we extrapolate the reality of Tesla productions results to this prediction he'll get to Mars around 2050 - 2070 if the money doesn't run out ..

I definitely think we'll be going there at some point. I just hope I am alive to see it happen! Well I guess it all depends if there is a chance of sustaining life there... hell if Matt Damon did it...

And he only did it with potatoes. Lots and lots and lots of potatoes.

One day I followed on youtube one of those the moon landing is a hoax videos, which lead me to click on NASA is a hoax video, which shows "proofs" of NASA not being real and shooting everything in a studio near LA, which lead me to click on a video that "proved" the Earth is FLAT and that over 10,000 NATO ships are guarding the edges, so you can't get to the edge.

And then my faith was restored with a simple physics video, that proved that 3D shapes put on the 2D plane, demorph vastly to the point that the distance between cities becomes wacky.
