    Default Maximum URL length

Here's a quick question for you - any thoughts on what is a suitable length for a URL? Does google have any issues with long URLs? Is there a guide on maximum length?

    Thanks

    Default

    Browser based:
    IE -2083 characters
    Chrome -around 2000 characters
    Firefox - 2047 character

    SEO based:
    Keep it short as possible.
Today i would say you can quit "speaking URLīs" like: casino.com/play-roulette-online but use instead casino.com/35663

This kind of KW placement is (not longer effective) old school SEO and the majority of users - all mobile user - canīt see this URLīs in search engines but you get advantages like speed, usability (e.g. no shortener needed for Twitter) and some more!

Of course i donīt no the intention of your question but there is no reason for long URLīs

OK, thanks. I was asking because I thought including keywords in the URL that match the H1 for example is good for SEO rankings. Is this not the case?

The H1 tag is the #1 heading tag for each page. It informs SE's and people what the page is about.
If that specific page focuses directly on those specific keywords in your URL, then it should be fine.

Though, crafting a people friendly Heading, is far more benefical than using a keyword stuffed Heading

With regards to Max URL length. I agree with what eenzoo said.

FYI, acronyms work just as well. GPWA is a good example. Plenty of others in our industry too.
Don't sweat keywords in URL theory. It's old school SEO these days!

The minimum is 3 the max is 63.

U can get 1-2 characters domain, but in this case u need a lot money

Maybe u get a domain with more than 63...but not without dns problems
