According to that article: https://www.gpwa.org/article.asp?id=214832 it says that it's the record-breaking win, as it was won on casino which uses pound currency. However, the jackpot 13millions+ was same no matter what was the currency - usd, eur, pounds.

I understand that rake has been collected from every bet to jackpot, but how come that the win amount number is same on any currency?

If that jackpot had won on casino, where $ is used as currency, then it's about 4 million euros less to compare with the scenario what happened? Or what's the system?

A percentage of each bet placed is put into the jackpot pool.
The percentage is the same regardless of the currency.

So for example, 5% of £100 is not the same as 5% of $US100.

Since a smaller amount is put into the pool from the currencies worth less than the pound, they are won in that same currency.

It would be unfair if the contribution of USD is smaller but they can win the pounds amount. I hope that makes sense.

yeah I understand that, but all players are not using pounds, but the jackpot was still same size for any currency (eur,usd,pound) - so it was won on pounds, but what if it would won on usd? where that 4million euros goes then?

If the jackpot is won in USD, the equivalent is removed and the jackpot goes down to whatever the total is minus the paid out amount.

Eg if the jackpot at 13.2m was won in USD:
13.2mUSD = 8.5mGBP so then 8.5m would be removed from the total GBP jackpot and the new jackpot would be £4.7
