Menu Showing in SERPS?

Lately we have been getting really ****** up results in the SERPS. "Jump to" links showing as search results, alt tags, and now this ****:




How in the Hell is google showing our menu structure as the text for a search query that has absolutely nothing to do with said result?

To be clear, this is what I am referring to. This is literally our drop down menu titles that show on every page of the website:

Kind of a stretch to say that's "legal" isn't it? I realize players aren't going to get prosecuted anytime soon - but your site targeted me with a popup saying "ignition casino is legal in WI" and that is not accurate.

In regards to your specific question - even though sometimes it doesn't make sense, I see listings like that as a good sign that google trusts your site and is essentially give you site links. Even though sometimes inaccurate - it's something you want and in my experience always results in a better click to impression rate.

I think you are confusing "regulated" with "legal". Just because a government does not regulate something does not make that something "illegal". It simply means there are not a bunch of moronic bureaucrats ******* it up.

There is nothing illegal about playing online poker in WI or CA or 95% of US states.

I am not referring to the "site links" at the bottom of the result. Those are in fact great to have and a sign of "trust" from Google.

If I search for that exact phrase it shows the below, not sure why you are seeing a snippet of your menu in the meta desc.

No, but used multiple devices and browsers.

Just tested incognito, same thing.
