I know this is from 2004 ( the post ) but does anybody know if this is a valid commision payment or a scam as google suggest? if so, who is the payment from?

I did not get an email, I actually just checked my moneybookers and found it sitting there ( was put in today )

I was able to request a withdraw but not sure if it will work. Any ideas?

Quite simply - you NEVER have to click a link on an email to accept a payment at Moneybookers.com that is NOT the way it works.

So if you received an email saying that, then the link (and the mail) is a fishing attempt. You should ignore that and go directly to moneybookers.com via your own bookmark or direct type in.

However, most beleivable fishing attempts are based on legitimate companies, so it's possible that mercantrade.com are a legitimate group?

I've not heard of them myself - but I only work with a small subset of companies.

    Hope that helps.

Ah, so you didn't get that email, but you did get the money? That certainly is different. Hard to say that it is a scam when you actually have the cash in your account.

I can't find anything on mercantrade either, except for that email that you posted from scambaiter.com. I can't find a site at mercantrade.com either.

Let us know how this works out.
