What top level domains do you use for your websites?

Besides the common generic top level domains like .com and .net, there are a huge number of top level domains available. They range from over 100 country top-level domains like .au, .de, .ru, and .uk to the newer top level domains like .asia, .casino, .xxx, etc.

For this week's poll, I thought I'd ask what top level domains you use for the websites you operate. Besides voting in the poll, share the specifics of the types of top level domains you use in a post.

I voted for the first three since I have sites on all of those top level domains (.com, .net, and .org).

I didn't vote for the next three (.info, .biz, .mobi) because, although I do own domains with all of those extensions, none of them are currently being used to host actual websites. I guess there is a question about whether I should even hold onto such domains since I have never used any of them.

In terms of country top level domains, I own lots of those: (casinocity.tld) for nearly 50 different countries. I don't own casinocity.de and casinocity.ru, so those are not checked off in the poll, although I do own and use casinocity.de.com and casinocity.ru.com in their place.

I do own casinocity.asia, so I ticked off the geographic top level domain box as well.

I did dabble briefly in one of the new top level domains, but decided afterwards to use financeaffiliateprograms.com rather than affiliateprograms.finance that I had originally registered. But the .finance domain just redirects to the other one, so even though I am making some use of it, I decided I should not count it when voting in the poll.

I use .com and .org mostly, but I also use .co .eu .biz .cc .ws and a few others.

Where the .com domains are taken, I found that some other domain extensions can rank just as well, for example .eu .ws and .co

As for .cc I bought a few EMDs many years ago but I was never able to rank them.

I use .com .net and .org
I have sites only with those top level domains.

I use and prefer .com, although .net and .org domains aren't bad options.

.com seems to lead the way, pretty much everywhere, so it's a top choice for me. This is closely followed by .co.uk for UK facing sites which has a vote of confidence from the UK based audience.

I also have a .org site that does well and even a .info that stands up for itself in the rankings.

I'm not so hot on the newer extensions although I have picked up a few .scot domains due to it being my home country and I expect to see some general adoption over the next few years. A longer-term investment but I intend to develop at least one site soon to test the waters.

.com , .biz , . net by far the most commonly used by myself and people i know

.com .net and .co.uk , I have no .org but would use that also if a good name was available. I did own some .co but let them expire as I think users may find it a bit confusing.

.com, .net, .org with some .info thrown in if needed. And .fi of course.

.com and .co.uk for us, any new projects that aren't UK-specific are likely to be .com exclusively going forwards.

At the moment I only focus on Belgium, the domains are country specific .be domains. For my new project I will try a .casino domain. I want to see how it will develop in Google.

I have many that were not specifically written. Like .to .tv, even .sx .la .bz .cn .in .so to name some. Good one is .me, also taken as generic.

But for me no brainer is that .com is way above all and will get stronger, so I am recently buying a lot of .coms (mostly outside gambling).

I have some .biz, but I think they are very overrated atm and will fade away swept with the hundreds new 3+letters domains. .co, .me, .eu are way way better.
