    Default Minor PageRank Update today

Just thought I would let everyone know and ask a few questions. Seems like a minor update happened today.

All of my pages that are PR1 or higher were unchanged but ALL internal pages that were PR0 are now PR N/A (grey bar). I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this or if the update is still in the process.

Interesting. Many of my old, [3, 4, 5+] years-long established pages lost most, if not all (greyed out), of their PR. Some new pages got recognized (PR0). Not just my gambling sites, this is across all of my sites (10+).

Not that I care that much about PR, but I do use it to gauge if Google is at least paying attention or not.

Ok, that might be a good sign then that we both lost nearly all PR. I'm hoping Google is still just in the middle of the update and the PR will return at some point.

    I hope.

Checked a few of mine, and PR has not changed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that if you went to gray bar, that meant you were de-indexed.

No, I don't think that's how it works, I still have all my pages still in the index even with the gray bar, although something must have happened or is still happening.

Hmm.. one of my sites PR is lost and it shows me as unrank. I doubt something is happening.

Definitely not, I have a fairly new site so a lot of the pages are unranked ('grey bar') and the rest are PR 0, but they are all indexed and I am getting (a little) SE traffic from Google.

I don't think Google uses toolbar PR much anymore; Google for 'google toolbar pagerank removed' and you can see a bunch of articles about that, including some from Google/Matt Cutts themselves. Hopefully when they finally do get rid of it (since they don't use it for SERPs in their algorithms anymore) they will replace it with some useful variable!
